If someone very savvy got control of the Fed right now, they might be able to actually pull us back from oblivion. But that's not going to happen. As far as my plan, I have quite a bit of gold and silver coins to protect against substantial inflation and devaluation. My wife, Russian, remembers when they woke up one morning and the government told them to remove two zeros off the rouble note. Consider waking up one morning to find that $200,000 nest egg is now $2,000 because of revaluation of the New Dollar. Or consider what happens when, if ever, the Fed decides to try to reverse the massive inflation it will create and we go back to 18% interest rates and mortgages like what happened in the early 80s. What do you think that will do in this economy? My purchasing power is protected. I will continue to divest accordingly. I also have nice land way out of the way, and am putting a nice cabin on that property, deep in the smokey mountains It'll be a nice place to go when society breaks down (as will happen in most collapse scenarios - prior to any reset). My enemy is the Fed, though. And Obama is empowering the Fed to behave as stupidly as it is.

Its too early for an AK 2016 prediction but Christie shouldn't start planning the move to the White House yet imo.Dems have some very strong candidates in 2016,Hilary,Daval Patrick and Andrew Coumo.All 3 have as good a shot as Christie imo

Now, you have a serious advantage in that you have gone Back to the Future. Most Americans have no clue what happens when an Empire collapses suddenly. It is one reason why I am a trader. I saw this in 1999. Ivan, you know we will not avoid the crash. My actual question is, how can the masses survive it? This is what matters. "If we do not hang together, we shall surely hang separately." That is my worry.
I agree, if nothing else comes from this election, the blowing off of the teaparty will be a victory of sorts, all on its' own. I think by 2016, the teaparty will be a side note to history. Does anyone here on ET actually admit to being a teaparty supporter?
