I`m a nappy headed "white boy". "White boy" is a derogatory term for white guys that is thrown around by blacks with impunity in music, entertainment and on the street. Yet we dont care... Funny story about double standards. One day when I was in the service my platoon sergeant asked me to go get Private Smith from his room cause he wanted to speak to him. So I knock on the door and walk in. 3 of my "fellow" Marines...all black just chillin out are inside. So Private Smith says "whaddaya you want BOY"..I smiled cause I thought he was just being playful. After all we are brother Marines and are supposed to watch each others backs, right? I said "sergeant riley wants to see you, BOY" (hey, he said it right?). All three of them jumped me right there and tried to choke me out. Fun stuff when your fellow platoon mates try to choke you out. That gave me a new appreciation for the term double standard....and black culture.

Message to black folk. Act like a nigger, get treated like a nigger. Want respect? Try showing some self respect. You and yours treat each other like dogs. The image you portray is the image the rest of us see. You, and all of us, will be judged by our actions, not our intentions. By in large the actions of the black communities and their leadership is despicable. Deal with it!
Message to white folk: Say something that could be interpreted as offensive, lose your job, reputation, .... EVERYTHING. Associate with blacks at own risk, same goes for women.
Once you get on the apology train, it's hard to get off. If Imus ( or Trent Lott, David Richards, et al) cut his head off tomorrow, there would be some black "leaders" saying he hadn't done enough. In truth, these episodes delight them, as it gives them the opportunity to posture and often pocket a little walking around money. Imus was an idiot to go on Sharpton's show.
I've listened to Imus on and off for thirty years. In the old days, young, drunk, coked up, he was hilarious. Even at 65 there is a twinkle in his eye. The Reverand Billy Sol Estes, I can't rememeber the rest of the characters, oh, Sal Monella... I remember some broad calling in "Imussssssss eymmmmm naaaaaakiiiiiiiiiiiiid." "I hear ya baby". The commercial at the time was a woman "did you hear what he said THIS morning???!!??". Remember, at the time, It was just am, fm, TV. Really, no cable. He has really brought himself a long way. Instrumental in Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. No, he doesn't cause it, he raises money for it. Has a Cattle Ranch and brings kids w/Cancer to it. Was instrumental in straightening out Walter Reed mess, and got the GI's KIA 100 grand instead of 10, or whatever. He's become too liberal for me, but I still laugh at the irreverance. Regardless of what he said, or how he said it, he's been saying it for years, and nobody ever said boo. Jeff Greenfield asked him as much today. "In all this time, with all of these influential people being on, did anyone ever tell you you were going too far w/the race thing?." "NO". There. Now, these knuckleheads can raise all kinds of hell. If they got their way, and they won't, no money for the Ranch, no SIDS money, nobody to take the baton for the GI. And the black people will be villians again. But, rich people watch him, and get to be on the radio and TV. Imus will be back, no question. Rutgers girls don't even know who he is, but somebody Coached them all about it. If you're on these boards, you trade, or pretend to. You're opinionated, and you've pissed people off. Somebody, or many somebodies, called you much worse than "nappy headed hoes". did you get over it? Black people. Wanna listen to Sharpton and Jackson? They're doing a great job, for themselves!!!!!. And Sharpton wants me to believe, "nappy headed ho's " is a fucking problem? Rake in the dough, Al. You're doing great. It's a disgrace. And anybody who has that "black section" of a community knows exactly what I'm saying. Maybe Chris Rock said it best. "Martin Luther King was a man of peace. But if you go on any MLB blvd in any city in America, you'll see more violence than you've ever seen in your life." And I can't stop it, and you can't stop it, and Don Imus can't stop it. Only the Black Community can stop it. I hope they do. But I haven't much hope.
