someone put "Imus" and "Intellectual" in the same sentence... Imus would be appalled.

Imus might be through. The thing about Imus is he somehow draws the most powerful people in the world, even more than Russert. Hell Russert was a regular guest on his show.

    NOT NO MORE!!

Would any of my fellow white-devils like to begin a petition against Dave Chappelle, he defames whites far worse, and Blacks worse yet ...

  2. Ummm, the word "pseudo" preceded intellectual...you do get the inference, don't you?

i was ribbing you ... you're not the only person to dislike Imus, but you may be the only one to think him a pseudo intellectual. I think Imus is the antithesis of a pseudo intellectual.

but again, maybe I'm too stupid to realize it.

  4. "Dave Chappelle, he defames whites far worse, and Blacks worse yet ..."

In an epiphany, Chappelle admitted that he was actually re-enforcing the black stereo type with his routines and in doing so was detrimental to the image of black people.

  5. That's true, and that horrific third season didn't help.

  6. It's about time someone came down on this idiot. I'm not PC at all, but what he said was terrible and mean-spirited. He would be the first to excoriate someone else who said the same thing. Now he's forced to bend over for Rev. Al. Pathetic. His days as the BSD of radio are over. He's toxic and no politician or celeb will want to be associated with him.

  8. BTW... It's okay for Stevie Wonder to use the term "nappy headed"

And who hasn't said or heard the word "ho"?

    STEVIE WONDER LYRICS

    "I Wish"

    Looking back on when I
Was a little nappy headed boy
    Then my only worry
Was for Christmas what would be my toy
    Even though we sometimes
    Would not get a thing
    We were happy with the
    Joy the day would bring

    Sneaking out the back door
To hang out with those hoodlum friends of mine
    Greeted at the back door
With boy thought I told you not to go outside
Tryin' your best to bring the
    Water to your eyes
    Thinkin' it might stop her
    Grom woopin' your behind

I wish those days could come back once more
Why did those days ev-er have to go
I wish those days could come back once more
Why did those days ev-er have to go
    Cause I love them so

    Brother says he's tellin'
'Bout you playin' doctor with that girl
Just don't tell I'll give you
Anything you want in this whole wide world
Mama gives you money for Sunday school
You trade yours for candy after church is through

Smokin' cigarettes and writing something nasty on the wall (you nasty boy)
Teacher sends you to the principal's office down the wall
You grow up and learn that kinda thing ain't right
But while you were doin'it-it sure felt outta sight

I wish those days could come back once more
Why did those days ev-er have to go
I wish those days could come back once more
Why did those days ev-er have to go

  9. It seems to me, that the implied protocol in America, is that a double standard exists for white speech and non white speech. If Imus was a black man ,would referring to the Rutgers players as nappy headed ho's on his show have been criticized much at all.? I would say no.

This raises an interesting issue regarding public free speech. Is it becoming segregated ? Is it a good policy to have speech that is acceptable only by certain races, genders, ethnicities..etc..?

  10. ...Im just amazed that Nationally, there has been less of an outrage and less media coverage compared to Michael Richards Nigga! outburst that 1) was done out of anger 2) went on and on and on..3) Talked about hanging their ancestors from a tree and 4) was so blatant......
