profile becomes unavailable while posts remain visible as opposed to "member limits who may view their full profile". I could be wrong though, but don't think I've ever seen "this member's been banned"
ET should have a permanent ban list or put the words beneath their user name or put it in their profile "member banned" or maybe "membership revoked" just like all other trading forums do. It makes no sense to hide the fact that a member has been banned for violating the TOU policy. I've seen one trading forum use "membership revoked" plus they put the reason and they publicly identified the IP address. Regardless, I like to see which members give the racists "likes" because there are several of them that fly beneath the radar but only because they're better at hiding their racist opinions. The real racist idiots will join ET with the same user name that's banned at another trader forum...it reveals their low IQ and/or maybe what they truly think about Elitetrader.com as a forum for traders. I'm still voting that not allowing new members to post in the political threads for their first 100 posts will help minimize the rejoins of a banned multiple user name psychopath although I can't remember who made that suggestion many years ago. Here's what I truly do not understand...why are the threads that they created allowed to remain here at the forum especially the threads that help tie them to the reason why they were banned ??? Doing that, I think invites them to return via a new name and invites other new members that share the same posting habits. wrbtrader
Another easy way to tell is when their name won't autofill e.g. @brigh does not now. We could make a sport of spotting him first and reporting him.
