$133/month. The latency is apparently load-dependent. It's 15-20 unloaded now. 900 down x 1,000 up. I hate networking.
hm...as far as I'm concerned I quit running stuff on my local machine. Way to much volatility in bandwidth. So I deployed all my infra to a dedicated server that I access via remote desktop. Latency between my brain and the exchange increased 2x but all the execution algos are consistent now and which shows in my mark outs. Also pulling data is much faster now. Depends on what you want to do and where your priorities are. Latency, throughput, jitter aka. hand clicking, download speed for data analytics or stability for algorithmic trading. I didn't want to quit for the day anymore just because the missus decided to binge GoT and virtual machines are really cheap nowadays.
Brightspeed (Centurylink) DSL. Only option I have in my area, other than satellite. I live in a beautiful area in S Missouri, lakefront, but fiber internet hasn't quite reached me. Maybe in a few years? Hope so!
Call up Ellison’s son, he lives down the lake from you, I’m sure he can handle your issue. Zuck is buying the west shore.
