Impeachment hearings

Discussion in 'Politics' started by Wallet, Nov 13, 2019.

  1. Worked out most excellent for me. That is to say the dems got nothing out of it other than to try to regroup and find some other reason to impeach him.

And Mueller looked at almost nothing in the areas where Horowitz and Durham are working. I did not like that but I am okay with it now. I see that he was just totally lost in space when he testified and I am glad he did not do any work in an area that required someone competent. In restrospect, I am glad he did nothing there rather than create the illusion that it had been looked at and therefore no further investigation was needed.

Who am I? What page is that on? I have never heard of Fusion GPS. Yup. Bob was lost in space. Durham is not lost in space.

  2. Thank you for proving my point...just because they worked over a year on a report does not mean it has any value.

    We agree.

  3. Oh. I dunno. You are quick to prove your own point to yourself.

Otherwise, we have leftoids here that crow daily about how Mueller's report put a lot of people in prison even if not related to the original investigation.

It had no value for impeaching Trump though.

And Horowitzs's reports got Andy fired and referred for criminal investigation and confirmed that Comey was a disaster for the department and national security even if not indicted.

Just as with the mueller report, I look forward to seeing lots of main characters and side players getting roughed up hard, and some sent to prison as an outcome of anything that Horowitz and Durham do. If we end out sending some of them there for tax evasion rather than the original charges, then I am absolutely fine with that. The bloodier the better.

Same thing in regard to Biden, Hunter and the WhistleSpy appearing before the Senate. We should just work to draw as much blood as possible to punish the dems for going down that road. I am totally unconcerned with whether it is relevant or nor- even though it is. Nor do I believe that the courts have the authority or willingness to try to review appeals from them.

In addition any or all witnesses appearing before the House need to appear before the Senate and if they exhibit any weasel-arious behavior or motives then absolute maximum pain should be inflicted upon them as part of the questioning.

The funny thing about Comey and McCabe was that it was related to how they mishandled the Clinton investigation to her detriment. Funny how you always leave out that point. The “deep state” was against Hillary. Funny.

  5. I see. And is this to somehow say that the actions of the deep state and the consistent burying of Clinton crimes are somehow not related?

Not sure what your point is. Doesn't help that you don't know what it is either.

Recent testimony undercuts Trump's argument that Ukrainians did not feel pressed to investigate his rivals

"According to former Trump White House official Fiona Hill, who in recent testimony before Congress said she was told of that pressure contemporaneously by an American businessman and former Obama administration official who had met Zelensky's team on May 7.

"On May 7, two weeks before his inauguration, Zelensky and his team held a meeting ostensibly about energy issues. But according to a person familiar with the meeting, the conversation became focused on pressure being put on Zelensky to investigate "corruption," specifically into the Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings, on whose board sat Hunter Biden, the son of Joe Biden.

Ukrainian President and advisers discussed pressure from Trump weeks before taking office

Trump and his allies have leaned heavily on a Sept. 25 statement from Zelensky that he did not feel pressured to investigate."
    "

"Hill decided to step down from her position in the Trump National Security Council in August 2019.[4]

On 14 October 2019, Hill, responding to a subpoena, testified in closed-door session for ten hours before special committees of the United States Congress, as part of the impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump.[5][6][7]

Kind of interesting that the guy who played a president in a comedy about a president and now is a president is taking down another comedy president who came from reality TV. Something cosmically absurd about it.

Zelensky and Trump sound like characters from a side story in a Tom Robbins novel.

Off topic, the allusion to Schindler's list in the latest episode was a bit strange, no real complaints so far though.
