Good luck finding an attorney to defend Trump after his previous attorney is now facing disbarment and stiffed for the bill.
Probably one of the ugliest things to watch was back in the Ukraine impeachment scenario, Pelosi kept reiterating that she knew she would not get a conviction but that she just wanted to "put a stain on Trump's legacy." She is still at it. The loons may want to impeach Brett Kavanaugh or Amy Barrett just to "stain their legacy" and to keep them in line. Maybe if Pompeo decides to run for office or Nikki Haley they will impeach them and stop that. They were cabinet officers and apparently the loons are arguing that they still have jurisdiction even though they have left office. And hey, how bout that Bill Barr? Another cabinet officer who has left office but is largely hated by the left. Go get him loons. He is already out of office and probably is not going to be seeking office, but what the hey, stain his legacy. That is what the founders would have wanted. OR NOT. And the founders and the constitution is a bunch of white supremacist stuff anyway. The whole thing should be flushed and a new one adopted. Maybe re-written in ebonics.
At $1000 an hour I would be willing to defend him by spending 100 hours of work and then step down...
Trump Jr mocked as tweet about ‘deplorable’ impeachment comes back to haunt him (again) https://www.indy100.com/news/trump-jr-tweet-impeachment-b1787170 Back in 2016 – a time that feels like many centuries ago – Hillary Clinton referred to Trump supporters as a “basket of deplorables” which caused a lot of a commotion. Firing back at the time, the now-president’s son Donald Trump Jr wrote in a tweet in September of 2016, “Dear Clintons, You know what's deplorable? Being Impeached!!!”. As you may imagine, this tweet has come back to haunt Trump Jr not only once… but now twice. “Very rare to see a tweet age badly twice,” James Felton wrote. “Hey did your dad ever win the popular vote? I'm sure he never got impeached, what's that? he did?” another person commented on Wednesday, the day Donald Trump was impeached for a second time after inciting deadly violence at the Capitol building last week. “Hi, I’m here from the future. Guys, you are NOT gonna believe what happens,” another person joked. “So it’s doubly deplorable to be impeached twice,” Tim O’Brien added. (More at above url)
Trump moped alone in 'self-pity mode' at the White House residence as he was impeached for the 2nd time, reports say https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-moped-alone-self-pity-second-impeachment-reports-2021-1 President Donald Trump was isolated and despondent at the White House residence on Wednesday as the House voted to impeach him for the second time, reports said. Trump was impeached on a charge of inciting an insurrection at the US Capitol on January 6 that left five people dead. Sources told CNN he was in "self-pity mode" and "holed up in the residence." A senior administration official told The Washington Post that "the president is pretty wound up." Many White House aides have resigned or left since the riot, leaving the president largely alone, both outlets said. According to The Post, Trump feels let down by his advisors, and he has told aides to withhold legal fees from his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani. President Donald Trump cloistered himself in the White House in "self-pity mode" as the House impeached him for the second time,CNN and The Washington Post reported. On Wednesday, the House impeached Trump on a charge of inciting an insurrection. His supporters stormed the US Capitol and destroyed federal property in a riot on January 6 that left five people dead. The House impeached the president in December 2019, but the Republican-controlled Senate acquitted him last February. He appears more likely to be convicted by the Senate this time, as several Republican senators have turned on him in recent weeks. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is "seriously entertaining" a vote to convict Trump and bar him from holding a federal-government position, GOP sources told Insider. As the House impeached him on Wednesday, the president cut a sad figure, White House staffers told news outlets. "He's been holed up in the residence, that's never a good thing," a person close to the White House told CNN. "He's by himself, not a lot of people to bounce ideas off of, whenever that happens he goes to his worst instincts." "He's in self-pity mode," a White House advisor told CNN, adding that "everybody's angry at everyone" at the White House. One reason for Trump's melancholy was his frustration with aides and advisors for not sticking with him in his time of need, The Post reported. Several top US officials have quit in response to the Capitol riot, including Betsy DeVos, the education secretary; Matthew Pottinger, a deputy national security advisor; and Stephanie Grisham, the first lady's chief of staff. Trump being upset with his staff is nothing new. Since losing the election, the president has been angry with aides, officials, and advisors who he believed did not back him up enough when he made baseless claims of voter fraud. According to multiple reports, Trump has singled out Vice President Mike Pence, accusing him of lacking loyalty. The New York Times reported that before the riot at the Capitol,Trump called Pence, who was tasked with certifying President-elect Joe Biden's victory, and told him, "You can either go down in history as a patriot, or you can go down in history as a p---y." During the impeachment vote on Wednesday, Trump was also upset with Rudy Giuliani, his personal attorney, The Post reported. Trump recently told aides not to pay Giuliani his legal fees and said he would need to personally approve any travel expenses Giuliani claimed for his work contesting the US election result. "The president is pretty wound up," a senior administration official told The Post. A former administration official told the newspaper that Trump was "feeling increasingly alone and isolated and frustrated." Trump's listlessness on Wednesday was welcomed by administration officials, who have said they have no fight left in them,The Daily Beast reported. "Today was a quiet day," a senior White House official told the outlet, adding that "that is what everyone wants." The official added, "If we can keep things quiet and event-free between now and the Biden [inauguration] that's a victory." After the riot, social-media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Snap permanently barred Trump. "Now that Twitter isn't available," a White House source told CNN, "God only knows what the outlet will be."
Rightfully hated by the right also.... a dickhead with "flip-flop" principles. But why single him out when there are sooooooo many examples to choose from?
Here are all of the House Republicans who voted to impeach Donald Trump Ten members of the GOP joined with Democrats in the vote. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/house-republicans-voted-impeach-donald-trump/story?id=75235094
Yes. That is precisely what you are saying. I admit that I know little about the Antifa movement but what little I do would suggest to me that they are not insurrectionists. Please see for example: https://www.nytimes.com/article/what-antifa-trump.html I'm curious. What would you characterize the event two Wednesdays ago in D.C. as? Trump supporters stormed the Capital Building, resulting in five deaths, substantial property destruction, planting of pipe bombs. Some participants appeared ready to take hostages, others shouted Hang Mike Pence. Certainly it wasn't just a crowd protesting some aribitrary government policy, or protesting police brutality, or protesting some other group of protestors. And it certainly had nothing to do with the Antifa movement. It was clearly an attempt to disrupt the certification of the Electoral College vote.
ANTIFA are anarchists. By very definition they want to tear down all government and institutions (businesses) as we know them. This is different than insurrections which want to take over the existing government and replace it with their own.
Again, for the umpteenth time, I'm not saying that Antifa was directly involved in this raid on the Capitol building. Again, for the umpteenth time I am saying what they did was illegal, should have been dealt with much more forcefully, and all involved should be prosecuted. Again, for the umpteenth time I agree that Trump played a major role in whipping this mob into a frenzy. Again, for the umpteenth time I am saying I would agree with impeachment if we were six months out, not six days. Again, for the umpteenth time I am saying when Antifa does the exact same fucking thing at the local or state level that too is indisputable mob action and an attempt to overthrow the government at that level. Again, for the umpteenth time I am saying all violent mobs regardless of political affiliations or endorsements need to be treated in the exact same fashion, which ideally would be with deadly force used by police to repel such mob action. Clear yet, or shall I just put this post on an hourly repeat for you dolts?
