Immigrants Aim To 'Close' US Cities on May 1st

  1. 1) legalize those that been here for more than 5 years like the senators propose. 2) do the guest worker program, recruting in their home country and they go from there to the u.s. employer. 3) then build the fence at the mexican border, where most of the illegals come in at, and place servailance cameras along the fence. 4) if they catch any, photograph and fingerprint them, then truck them back into mexico. 5) if you're caught three times you do three months in the u.s. border jail and sent back to mexico. it will not stop illegal immigration. some come in on visitor's visas and remain in america. but it will cut most of the illegal immigration at the mexican border, if they make the fence long enough and do air servailance at the other hot spots.
that ought to resolve the issue and get back to ben laden and the terrorists. they have made some new threats.

  3. Saw a multi-part program on cable TV describing the fall of the Roman Empire.

Rome, like the U.S., was the world's top superpower, had democratic institutions, and placed great value on it's leisure-time entertainments.

Now listen to this. A professor comes on and says it's inaccurate to describe Rome as eventually being conquered by foreign armies. It was more accurate to characterize the Roman fall as one in which foreigners wanted a piece of the good life, and "broke in" to get it.

    To All:
I didn't read all the pages in this string but did anyone suggest that all Immigrants could inlist for military training and duty for two years of duty in Iraq to "earn" the right to be an American.? I've an honorable discharge after 6 years of US Army (many decades ago) There have been millions who served this counrtry in combat since 1776. Let some of them do the same. Why the H can't they serve too? It would be good physical and mental training. Replace some of the service men that have been in Iraq over a year already. There's always lots of workers needed in the military. Let'em put in a couple years service first,.
I'll bet half of them (male as well as female) would go back to Mexico rather then support our troops(male and female)who are right now over seas in combat areas... Required military service would seperate out the freeloaders... and I'll guess that's over half of them.

  5. Yes, in my family we had no choice. My dad "informed" us that we "owed" a debt of service to the US for protecting us and providing us with the benefits of citizenship. We had to choose one of two choices, either service to the community (teaching, volunteering in a hospital, police work, joining a service club, etc), OR military service in the branch of our choice (as long as it was the Navy).

Instead what do these mexicans do? They demonstrate, and demand rights that they havent earned....I think they need to learn some respect.

I am all for shipping illegals out of the country in the most massive airlift known to mankind. Drop them into the Sonoran Desert and let "El Presidente" Vincente Fox show his love for his countrymen and women.

    Good luck

How can you serve in the military if you can't speak the language the military uses?

  7. Its called "school". My grandfather came here (legally) and learned to speak English in less than a year.

As my grandfather told the story, he arrived and found a place to live in just a couple of days. He then found a church to attend and his priest showed him where and how he could learn English at a local high school.

Of course we are talking about people with character and respect for those who are trying to help them.

Look at what these drug dealing, car stealing, gang banging Mexican "nativists" are doing today. Respect? I don't think so. They are demanding, not asking. I say ship them all out of the country ASAP. I will wash my own damn dishes and pick my own damn vegatables if I have to.

    Steve

    Edit:

Look its very simple folks. I am not here to become part of some Mexican's cultural heritage. They are here to learn mine, and to become an American (or not). At the very least, if you are visiting my country, you need to respect my heritage.

  9. I have no problem with it, if it means I don't have to put up with Mexican drug dealers on my street corners, or "low ridders" and tatooed gangbangers cruising down Main St...

  10. This is hilarious. The ramifications of getting rid of our illegals are underestimated. Getting rid of them would send a shock throughout the majority of industrys that employ a great vast of these illegals. Think of almost everything in your grocer being 15 - 25% more expensive.
What is even more funny is that most of you are immigrants or descendants of immigrants that came over legally or illegally. You guys have to rethink what being an American really is.

Do I think that they should be handed a citizenship on a silver platter? No. I don't know of a solution but I'm all ears to a rational one.

What bothers the S*&T out of me is that ther are biggers issues that need to be dealt with at this moment.
Think about why we were attacked on 9/11.
Think about why we attacked Iraq and Afghanistan.
Think about why we continue to spend billions in wars and support for supposed allies.
The saddest thought in my mind is thinking about all the soldiers that have died and will die because they are fighting a war for the jews. Let's face it, 9/11 was a direct result of our meddling in the middle east and the overwhelming support for israel. The war in Iraq was forced upon this government by a group of lobbying jews.

And you guys are complaining about some people that come to the US to work for crap wages?
It's a sad day for all Americans.
