You seem honest, so I'm gonna tell you the truth. You didn't get to where you are in a few months, so don't expect to get out in a few months. Work hard for a long time and success may be yours. But it's just about over if you have a family. Work too hard and be too selfish on your own career and you may get tagged with a divorce + child support.
Ok, with so many threads like this lately, I'm convinced ET is probably paying a firm to bump their post count and spark conversations to make the forums appear more lively. This is in line with my theory that OldTime is paid a few cents every thread he starts, as it appears he can't seem to stick to one journal and needs to start a new thread for each trade.
if you asked me last week, I would have told you trading is a good idea. But today, it's a very bad idea. If I ever get out of this trade alive, I'll start a new thread and tell you all about it.
1) Yes, you can make more from trading. Today and yesterday I made more from trading than I would at a high paying job, yet what I made is probably tiny compared to most successful traders. 2) However, to get to this level by yourself may take 5 - 10 years unless you have someone to mentor you. 3) What is hard about trading is finding an edge. An edge being a profitable setup that you can recognize and use in real time with real money. 4) The other problem about trading is accepting losses. There are no winning systems with 95% win ratios. So you will have losing trades, but you can't get mad and start revenge trading. 5) Also, you need to be trading when other traders are trading. The market is closed on Sat, so don't plan on doing this on the weekend.
Thank you all for the constructive posts here. I do want a mentor. What I bring to the table is a guarantee if I do well I will share that with my mentor.
watch this video and part two, the whole thing is only 16 minutes and it will give you a better insight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnRf6Bd6n9s
Hi Newguy. You can trade a variety of markets. If your looking for weekends and or evenings you basically looking at Sunday night about post 6 PM ET. Mostly futures and forex. The leverage is great but it cuts both ways. If you want to do Nadex you can check out the forex pairs on sunday night they have binaries with expirations every hour on some instruments and spreads on every instrument. Most people from what i have seen when commenting on nadex don't understand the product. They think you hold till expiration not understanding you can exit. They don't know they have spreads. They don't konw you can do high probability ITM binaries and manage the risk. OR high payout OTM binaries and have no stop loss. Also the pricing model is a mystery to most but its just a delta of a call options with same strike expiration. I trade them regularly if you have questions let me know will be glad to help if i can.
