  2. People are not hardwired in a manner which lends itself to strictly rational risk/reward assessments. Correct interpretation is a learned art which forces us, at times, to oppose our very being (aka 'human nature').

  3. Sushi,

Thanks for contributing to the thread. I'm sure the other members will sleep better tonight knowing somebody who calls themselves Sushi is looking out for them, and pointing out things that smell fishy. lol....

And thanks for providing a great example of the dynamic I was referring to in a previous post. It's fascinating to watch how people, even those who claim competence, will choose to make themselves feel good over an opportunity to make money. This is why people can't hold winners and hold losers too long, and why they miss trades altogether.

Which one is costing you the most money in your trading? :)

  4. His eyes blink too often. That's enough for me to form an opinion.
    No thank you.

  5. Maestro,

    Why are you frustrated?

    Here's a suggestion...

You might want to examine your rules and beliefs, i.e., your evidence procedure for what makes somebody a "genuine fellow." Then think about what other rules and beliefs you have about life, and ask yourself how you handle situations where the universe presents a reality that doesn't happen to match the rules and beliefs you've come up with over the course of your life.

Then you might want to ask yourself where your rules and beliefs came from in the first place. Did you sit down one day and decide on them?

Finally you might want to ask yourself how this same pattern manifests itself in your trading. Do you miss big moves because the setup didn't match your pre-existing rules and beliefs? Did you hold trades too long because the reality didn't match what you believed it was supposed to be?

What other opportunities have you missed in life because holding onto your rules and beliefs gave you a feeling of certainty and significance?

Success in trading does not come from understanding the external. It comes from understanding the internal first. At least that's my belief. So far it's served me well. :)

Hope you have a great day! :)

  6. Lol... nice example of what I call a "superstitious" pattern.

I was making the video at 2:00 am before I left for my trip to New Orleans. I had ordered new contacts that hadn't come in yet, so the ones I was wearing were about a week overdue to being changed. Plus the light in the room was bright so the video would turn out better.

I'm not telling you this to defend myself. I'm just pointing out that often there are reasons for things that a person would have know idea of knowing. Sort of like looking at a chart pattern and deciding something is a head-and-shoulders top when in reality it's just a random price distribution.

Thanks for your post though... it made me smile, which is always a good thing! :)

  7. No. You're full of shit. You have produced no evidence of your abilities, and I have not seen any posts from forum members who contacted you in priv. message. And your zen-like deflection of criticism only heightens my suspicion, I've heard it all before, perhaps not exactly like this, but pretty close. You won't catch the senior people on this forum, but you will reel in some newbies, and you know that, which is why you continue to defend/deflect. You'll make money, but it won't be mine.

  8. Doug, you talk of Mardi Gras in New Orleans and so let us take Mardi Gras in NO as an example of reality.

My first experience of Mardi Gras was Carnival in Rio followed by Carnival in Salvador de Bahia which in many ways was more authentic and even more enjoyable if that is possible.

New Orleans followed later and it does not even rate a comparison.

Tell me more about reality Doug.
Tell me how beliefs match experiences in life Doug.
Tell me how you open your mind to the occassions that you have yet to experience Doug.
Tell me how you open your mind to the potential that you are unaware that you are unaware of, Doug.

    regards

  9. I must be getting old, I don't get it, I don't see the scam

    The 'training' is free.
    The funds are free.
He's offering money, not asking for any.
    Profits are split....losses aren't.

    What am I missing?

  10. Maybe my shiit-meter is out of calibration, but after dozens of pages full of speculation and cyber-hugs, and no real plan, or evidence of results, it just irritates me, so I lash out.
