  1. <i>"Anyone in his right mind who can make money trading does not need outside backing."</i>

That must be quite the revelation to every prop firm trader here who reads your words. Interesting reactions they have, I would venture to guess.

This thread appeared to be just one of two blatant scenarios: Doug was/is serious about having funds managed, or he was interested in passive promotion of the unknown mental coach repeatedly touted. Pretty much one or the other... not here to hang out, not here to contribute conversation.

Rational, controlled emotions traders give benefit of doubt. Mix in a little passage of time, and things tend to clear up. No one heard anything back about any funds being managed, by deafening silence of people coming forth to report their in the process of funding.

I'd also imagine that no one who responded lost five minutes of sleep over the whole thing... nor planned their heirs' financial future on being funded by the OP.

  5. <i>"Yes, its a fake name to gather real mailing list names. These guys are seriously hurting here on ET to fall for it so easily."</i>

What is "it" that everyone fell for? You imply that an email spammer now has some fresh addresses to hit? Be still our collective hearts... wouldn't want to get any garbage email promos in our otherwise pristine inboxes.

You guys crack me up :)

  6. Don't you just love it austinp.

A group of guys/girls hiding behind usernames and pretending to be the exact opposite of their real life character; moan like crazy when one of their own suddenly appears out of the ether offering something for nothing.

I can hear the howling of self proclaimed righteousness from my backdoor.

    regards

  7. New Orleans (AP) --- Doug Allen Found Dead in Bourbon Street Hotel.

"Doug Allen, financier, was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds early Sunday morning. Police have numerous leads including "Glengarry" marketing information which were found on his person. The leads consist of an email list from "Elitetrader.com", a stock-trading community on the internets."

I sent him a PM because I wanted to know the full story. I doubt that I will participate in his program. He has my name now, but I have not [yet] given him my bank account number, Social Security number, or mother's maiden name. Do you think I should change my name just to be safe?:p
