Hmm...interesting that I went to respond to super_ego, and then I couldn't because he had deleted this post. Then LOW AND BEHOLD, along came an alternative post by Faster. What an amazing coincidence.
Anyway, I was wondering how super/faster deduced:
"I am sure that you are not in possession of any real market strategy judging by your self-inflated knowledge of the markets. Cramming everything meaningful into your head doesn't make you a trader"
Can either one of you, or both of you (or is there a difference?) explain? Where did I ever imply that I had either any special "strategy" (I don't...I try to adapt), or any "self inflated knowledge"? I only posted my observations. Never said I was right or wrong about them..at least not as to their value for others. Just what they did and did not do for me. We are all entitled to our OPINIONS right or wrong. If you think I am hoping to prove you wrong, you are mistaken. I honest to god would love to learn a "technique" that I can apply to help my trading. I admit to not having a consistent strategy. I have said that more than a few times.
You really make a lot of assumptions about me. What makes you think I work in an environment like you describe? What makes you think anything about me other than what I have readily divulged?

  4. First, my apologies to Super Ego and anyone else whose posts that should have stayed were accidentally deleted. Here's the deal--I was contacted by several Elite members asking me to clean up this thread, i.e. remove all the sniping, insulting posts, and off topic discussion. Unfortunately, there was a whole lot of unnecessary garbage in this thread, and during an attempt to delete several of these posts in one fell swoop, several posts not meant to be deleted were. I apologize for the mishap, and am afraid I may not be able to get back the deleted posts. So if some of the posts that were deleted were yours Super Ego, please resubmit them if you would. I will, however, continue to monitor this thread and moderate any posts that continue to be off topic or personal attacks. Super Ego is free to post whatever information he likes as long as there is no sales pitch, which he has stated there is not. Others are free to question his information or be skeptical, so long as it is not baiting, profane, or of a personal attack in nature.

  5. Yeah, I wrote that. But the moderator deleted it.

I am only stating my opinions also. I retract that statement and appologize to you.

Now that we have an understanding, do you approve of moving on?

  7. Hey Super Ego,

Perhaps you've misunderstood--I was attempting to delete the personal attacks against YOU, not vice versa. I was actually attempting to clean up your thread so that it contained only the positive discourse and information you and other members were attempting to provide, and eliminate all the off topic detractors. So no, I take no cues from Don Bright or anyone else, again I admit I made a mistake during my attempt to delete several posts at once and have apologized for it. But be aware that I will delete posts from this thread that contain profanity, personal attacks, sales pitches or off topic nonsense. Having moderators to keep threads on topic and garbage free is exactly what makes Elitetrader more civil and productive than the free-for-all known as the Yahoo boards. You are always free to provide whatever information you care to share here, and rest assured there is no conspiracy to keep you quiet or anything like that.

No problem. I understand now that the moderator deleted the post.
I have absolutely no problem with anyone stating their opinions...right or wrong.

LUNDY, I am glad to see you back. I mentioned you regarding this very issue a few pages back in this thread. I defended your right to your opinion and voiced my objections to those that critisized you for expressing them.

I hope you got to read my response to something in your "trend is up" thread where I called those who were flaming you "buzzards" and that you were the "lion" among them.

As for Super_ego, I just don't get why you need to get personal with these people...."ElvisOnCrack"? Don Bright playing blackjack? "Tiny little brains"? Hey, you have your knowledge to pass along...and I hope it is worth the time you are giving it....but why not just do it without building yourself up by tearing everyone else down? Does it help you in some way? If so, then go ahead...use me as your example of the "tiny brained" population. I find it humorous and don't mind. I am not so sure about everyone else. I don't see where calling anyone who runs a trading seminar names does anything to contribute to your thread. (And no, I certainly am not one of these so called "gurus".) Nor am I in any way even remotely connected to any prop. firm nor do I have any relationship with Don Bright. Yet I see no reason at all to put him down. Or for that matter, anyone who is smart enough to get people to pay good money to "learn" to trade. I agree with you that for the most part, this is a scam and I am glad I never wasted any money on any of them. But I've got to give them credit for being smart enough to pull it off. Everybody has to do something to support themselves. What better way than getting people to throw money at you to tell them what you think? Or to tell them how they should think? What a great gig!!
