Would that be the first amendment to Maverick74's constitution? Then the second amendment must be the right to bear arms and shoot guns from a Prius while snorting cocaine from the bellies of underaged prostitutes.
That is fair. I'll concede by saying that there is a very strong element of "immortality project" in American politics today. Hence, the polarization.
Then how do you explain Ron Paul raising more money then Romney during most of the primary and losing? Are you saying if some billionaire gave Ron Paul a billion dollars that the neo-cons would have elected him in the primary? Sorry kid, you lose this debate. The money argument only works when it's convenient to make that excuse.
Ricter despises that right. He thinks the federal government should decide how individuals spend their money.
Ricter, how much money would it take for you to vote for Republicans not only in the white house race but in all your local races both state and federal? Either money would convince you to vote republican or you admit that most people won't change their ideology because of a commercial.
8 points is stomped in today's world. I wasn't talking about you specifically in regard to bitching. I'm referring to the dem party.
Incorrect stats http://opinion.latimes.com/opinionl...ey-president-obama-political-fundraising.html Ron Paul's chump change October 6, 2011 Really, it's news that only political junkies pay attention to. But it's still staggering. The Times reported Wednesday that "Rep. Ron Paul raised more than $8 million for his presidential campaign in the last three months" from 100,000 individual donors. And that's not all. "Texas Gov. Rick Perry said he raised more than $17 million from 22,000 donors." Wait, there's more. Though he didn't announce a total, "a source close to the Mitt Romney campaign said the former Massachusetts governor's third-quarter fundraising take was expected to be more than $14 million." And let's be bipartisan here. Though President Obama's fundraising total in the quarter is reportedly lagging, he's still expected to rake in $55 million, compared with an $86-million haul in the previous quarter.
