  1. Mike, do you see that button up in the top right hand part of the screen "Search"?? Pick a couple people here whom you think are credible and put their name in there. You'd be amazed at how quickly you can trim off the fat, so to speak.

  3. Either you know how to make money or you don't. Some people need to learn when to quit.

  4. It's nice to see people being honest and supportive of one another on a message board. It's inevitable you have outcasts like stock_turder and other jealous spiteful misfits desperate for attention that remind us the world is sometimes a sad place with sad people. My condolences to who ever has to interact with these in the non-cyber universe.

Anyways I think its good for people to share ideas and experiences. The difficult thing is we are all different and it is hard to tell with the limited information and reality that we share here what the true challenges and difficulties one faces in the real world of trading. Trading is infinitely complex and is never black and white. The subtle differences and commonalties in problems traders encounter make it easy for people to pass their judgment and sentence you to lifetime of loss.

  7. I haven't made any new trades since and my portfolio hit an all time low today.

I'm thinking of liquidating my entire portfolio and salvaging what I have left.

Getting a gun is another option...

  8. Hey, we've all been at that point before. I was in depression for about a year which I just recently came out of. It's hard for me to address what's wrong since I don't know, but I am going to tell you to hang in there. You gotta believe in yourself that in the future you'll be much better off and much more skilled, and that you'll eventually pull yourself out of this. You'll look back on this one day and think about the lessons you learned from it while you're sitting on a beach listening to the waves hit earning 100k a day from your positions.

Stay positive, but stay smart. I can supply a trade idea or two if needed.

EDIT: Also, dump positions and start anew if you're having a really bad drawdown. A bad position is a bad burden on the mind.

  9. This has to be the saddest thread ever

No one gives a **** about your depression and you 'life lessons' about trading. Either you know how to make moeny or you don't. If you fall into the later category stop trading. Pretty simple huh?

Even the best traders I know hit slumps from time to time and need to either take breaks or liquidate everything, whatever. Learning how to react is what will liberate you from your mental burdens.
