cashmoney, as a fellow p/l poster I'm glad that you ar doing well, and i've never fudged my p/l blotter post remember:cool:

remember that you are not in a competition with everyone on ET, just continue to work on yourself and your account will grow and you will be trading when many of the bozo's here are busted out...

but, i guess you have it coming on these comments seeing that the thread is "i'm better than you..."

  2. The dollar amount means EVERYTHING. Try doing this with a $5M account, for example. Your month was impressive for sure and congrats but a larger account makes this nearly impossible. I've done the same thing with a small account. I can't even come close with a large account.

  3. Thank you, ninja. To tell you the truth, I just got lucky. I don't know much about theory, not even enough to determine whether my trading style qualifies as a Momentum trader, probably not, though. From what I understand, I'm a what they would call a scalper. I just sit around and wait for ES to move, and when it does, i try to squeeze a couple or three ticks out of it here and there. Multiply that by a few dozen times a day, and that's pretty much what I do.

Considering you've been registered to this site since 05 and you're excited about a $500/month and a total account balance of $800, I'd say that you're not better than many on here.

Now if you are a 15 year old, than excuse my comment.

If you can continue that pace and grow your account to $10k, then I'd give you credit for your trading.

Also, I must say that I do find it hilarious that your username is cashmoney, yet you have an $800 account. Now that's funny.:D

  7. Thanks again. Careful what you wish for. I just switched from 1 contract to 2 this Monday, and so far, I am struggling with that increase in size. Another illustration of how a huge percentage profit in a small account doesn't mean all that much. Here is how switching from 1 to 2 contracts on 2/25 has affected my daily P/L:

    02/12 +622.10
    02/13 +600.30
    02/14 +795.70
    02/15 +876.20
    02/19 +407.65
    02/20 +858.87
    02/21 +914.50
    02/22 -375.00
    02/25 +26.40
    02/26 +466.40
    02/27 -313.80

Then again, it might just be coincidence. It's too early to tell yet.

  8. You're exactly right Lobster. The larger your account gets the harder it is to trade it. The good news is you don't need to put up numbers like 300% to make solid dollars. Heck, if you have a $1M account and do 50% in an entire year that's 500k. Sign me up :D

  10. a rebate scalper on a 3k account can return....well...a shit ton more then 300 percent.

but if you did that taking overnights....well hey, i'd say that's actually kind of hard to do consistently, so congrats, keep it up.
