Here is another example. https://www.ny1.com/nyc/all-borough...reform-law-as-reason-for-february-crime-spike De Blasio, NYPD Point to State Bail Reform Law as Reason for February Crime Spike NEW YORK CITY PUBLISHED 11:05 PM ET MAR. 05, 2020 Is it surprising to see more crime with catch and release law enforcement?
rise in crime is directly correlated w/relative poverty, we have data for that, and 2020 only exacerbated that wealth gap. I'd be happy to review your studies showing how ditching the bail system directly correlates to a rise in crime though. Not that it matters, we don't restrict hate speech even if it increases the likelihood of hate crimes.
So what's your explanation for the startling rise in Durham in the second half of 2019 -- did everyone suddenly get poor.
2 of your articles were from 2020. What's your explanation for lower crime rates in pretty much every developed country w/o a cash bail system?
The articles were from 2020 to show the timeline from 2019 after cash bail was implemented in June of 2020. This should be obvious.
not if you didn't read them. In any case, the cash bail system is archaic, unconstitutional and thankfully is being done away with.
The reason I provided the dates under the headlines of the articles was to demonstrate the progression of increasing crime in Durham.... it should be obvious even if you did not read the articles.
