I'm actually wondering how many hundreds of thousands of emails/letters BK's corporate office had to deal with over the stunt. GUARANTEE they're pissed over it, but at the same time, can't do anything about it for fear of being labeled "bigot," or some shit. In my original post, the comments (scroll down in the link), were 90% angry over it.

That's what enrages me ... that they portray themselves as the downtrodden, oppressed people ... yet many overlook how dysfunctional and pathetic they are.

  3. Uhhhh so what? They're selling pride burgers in the middle of pride month in the middle of SF. No one is being oppressed, and they're donating to a charity that doesn't oppress anyone else. For a bunch of anti-LGBTers you sure do have your panties in a bunch over nothing...

Wow, so what we know now is that both you and your cousin are nitwits. Apparently stupidity crosses all sexual tendancies, as does HIV and AIDS. Why are so many of you in the US so damn ignorant ? Guys like you, something went seriously wrong with you at some point. Bad parenting, acquired hatred, a mix, who knows. But god you're a piece of work. A little tolerance of people and their differences is part of a progressive, intelligent society. Goes way over your head though.

Except when the tolerance is something you liberals don't agree with, right?

What is it that upsets you about this? The fact that a company takes a position in political debate about social values? Or the fact that a company takes a position that you don't agree with?

Do you just think companies shouldn't have a position on social issues full stop?

  7. People like/dislike different things and act accordingly. Some find the flaunting of gayness to be repugnant regardless of PC concerns.

  9. That's a great idea, a " Normal Whopper " and we could make it even more normal by just saying a " Whopper ". I think it's going to catch on DH.

  10. Most conservatives have a live and let live attitude. What is annoying is that the left, and most particularly the gay nazis, routinely try to destroy anyone who publicly takes a position they disagree with. the examples are legion. Recall the Miss USA debacle when the pervert judge gave some poor girl a zero because she was not all in for gay marriage? or the attempt to silence the Duck Dynasty guy? or the Mozilla controversy? Or all the people in California who were harrassed afte supporting traditional marriage in the referendum? I could go on for days.

So when we get something like this shoved in our faces, we feel entitled to react as well.

And to answer your question, companies should avoid hot button social issues. They automatically alienate a sizeable percentage of their potential customers. How is that good for business? It's particularly annoying when they support something on disingenuos grounds that is obviously bad for the country because it helps them, like GOOG pushing amnesty or corn farmers pushing ethanol mandates.
