Just to chime in here... AOC is stupid not just because of her assertion that FDR was the cause of the 22nd amendment, but also because of her lack of sensitivity to what the world was going through when FDR was FIRST elected. During the great depression, and then when the shit hit the fan as Hitler rose to power, everyone said "we need FDR". And when the war finally broke out? They stuck with the MOMO trade. Keep the guy in and maybe the world will be rid of that global menace? 1930ish to 1945 was an unprecedented time in world history, that people like AOC cannot conceptualize. Thus, she is ignorant and stupid about that, and how her statements now are disrespecting the very people who helped allow her to be American in the first place. Just think...If FDR was NOT elected to those two extra terms, we might all be speaking German. And folks like her parents would have been exterminated. She really needs to shut her pie hole. Yeh no lie there. And it is not just Minnesota-type places that got to be "multicultural" whether they asked for it not. The U.S government- in all its wisdom- put 7500 Somalis in Lewiston, Maine almost overnight. A city of 30,000 at the time. You might know someone who can confirm that in a general kind of way? I know a guy in Lewiston, Maine who is a landlord and rented an apartment to a Somali couple which soon evolved to a dozen or so people. So far so good, sorta. Then he went by one day and all the doors had been removed from the kitchen cabinets and the openings had chickenwire over them....because.....well......he was raising chickens in them. Eggs the whole bit. I dont know where he ended out with that dilemma but he was some pissed. You know, if you dont like your tenants doing that .......you are a racist. What other explanation could there be? Let me just say too- in sympathy with the Somalis- Maine in the wintertime is not the easiest place to adapt to if you are from Somalia. Even the locals who have been through it for generations sometimes crack. Minnesota of course is ultra cold too but they own the whole place now and are multi-generational there now.
