I suppose I shouldnt argue because you seem to be doing well picking your stocks. But, I do think you are playing with fire a bit when trying to buy stocks that look pretty weak. Your fill on CYTR was .01 off the high of the day.. thats cutting it a bit close! Id think it would be easier to pull off 2% upside on a stock that looks strong. MXR especially looks like its poised for another down day.

Sorry for not doing an update yesterday, was busy all day again. Got filled on XLA at open at 1.99 and exited at 2.02 (1.5%), did the 2% in my head real quick and I was off by a penny, the high was well above 2.03 (2.09 I believe), oh well. Also wanted to mention that I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow so there won't be any trades for a week. Do what you please with my journal in the meantime :)

Ok, I'm resetting my performance as planned. Several reasons but mainly because I want to keep a daily record of equity so I could draw an equity curve. My play for Friday is IONA, buying 506 at 5.01. My current equity is 2,539.44, for performance calculations I'm going to round my starting equity to 2500, it starts me off with an imaginary 39.44$ profit, lol, shouldn't make much of a difference in the long run.

    1/1/04
    Current Equity: $2,539.44
    Starting Equity: $2,500.00 (1/1/04)
    Current Return: 1.58%

Not much I particularly liked in my normal price range so taking one a little bit higher up, found by a friend who's entering into a swing trade with it. Taking GMAI at limit 11.13 exiting at 11.36.

BUY 243 shares of GMAI, Greg Manning Auctions
    at LIMIT of 11.13 DAY

  10. Hi ig0r, I saw one of your posts where you talked about how the Phantom book was a breakthrough for you.

I read most of it this weekend. I particulary like Rule 1, where you focus on getting out if you are not proved right, as opposed to waiting to be proved wrong.

Rule 2 makes perfect sense, to be bigger when you're right (adding), and the day trading variant of it, where you enter full size and take off as time goes on and you aren't proven right.

Anyhow, question for you: how have you applied Phantom's teachings to your recent swing trades?
