Why do people move, for a better opportunity?
Few people will move into a state with the conditions you list, unless those are marginal factors.

Texas added more than 387,000 residents between July 1, 2012, and July 1, 2013, and more than 1.3 million since April 1, 2010, significantly more than any other state, according to estimates released Monday by the U.S. Census Bureau.

I agree, I want equal tax for all, ive never gotten a break on taxes in my life, there should be no special tax breaks for the connected class.

With that said, all i can do is shake my head and laugh when assholes like futurecurrents say that a guy who gets a 20 million dollar break on his 250 million dollar tax bill is "corporate welfare" as if its the same as a guy who contributes nothing to society, and takes government money for sitting on his ass and doing nothing. Real Welfare. The difference between the two is so large they dont even belong in the same dictionary.

Well there's a thing. Would that factory have even existed in America today, or would it be cheaper to employ a 13 year old in Laos or Vietnam? When a big company decides to shut down a factory in a town and the whole town's economy goes to the wall, simply telling people to step up and find a job isn't going to help in a shrinking employment market.

I'll bet that being in the Great Depression with 5 kids probably would have made him cry at the time. Were you there?

Lots of people don't have entrepreneurial skills. 80% of businesses fail.

With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

and then tell them to JUST STOP BEING poor, because Lady Liberty no longer cares for them. They're useless. If they would rather die they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population.

Hey idiot! I give back to society. I go into high poverty schools and volunteer. That said I see firsthand quite a few parents who want and demand handouts. Why do you want to continue to deny FACTS? I show them that hard work can lead them to a BETTER life, which many kids aspire to.

You're right .. everything is Bush's fault. Heck the Ukraine problems were blamed on him by Rachael Maddow.

Foot Stamps were 32 million when Odumbo arrived .. now over 47 million .. 50% increase. We can go on and on about all the ever expanding entitlement programs that have mushroomed during Odumbo's tenure. If things are better then WHY do the handous continue to expand?

And why is the labor participation rate is the lowest since the 70's if things are so good?

Hey Rollo ... you created this ID yesterday, huh? Are you and US Socialist, who created an ID Saturday, one and the same?

But to answer your question ... first, there are jobs out there if someone truly wants to work. On the side I handle a couple rental houses. I have trouble finding RELIABLE help to clean them ... even offering $150 per house for what amounts to a 3 or 4 hour job? $37.50 to $50/hour to clean isn't too shabby.

No, I wasn't there during the Depression but my Dad was and growing up I learned a lot of this from my Grandfather.

Ahhhh, yes ... 80% of businesses fail. Glad my Grandfather didn't have the pessimistic, loser mindset you have or he would have never tried. He worked 14 hours a day ... failure was NOT an option.
