Getting back to it, here's my list: JMowrey steve46 Jay from eSignal and finally, a camera crew from the ultimate fighting show
can i nominate myself?? actually, WDGann, resinate, Nitro and saxon, and BeTheSparrow would be my choices. Seen them in real life, and they know their stuff.. plus we had tons of fun back in Chicago together....
... How about Hooters??? If we have an "office" in there... we might make friends with the waitresses...
Well here is my answer. Some of you may not like it. I am a solo trader and I use ET to highlight my boring job of execution. As you can see by my post count.... I am an ET junkie. I think that every individual guest of ET has something to give and I owe my success to many of them. The moderators and members here have put up with my sometimes predictive posts and short quips. These manic quests on various issues never ceasing or giving up, through stubbornness, boredom or simply stupidity, have made my trading days somewhat interesting. I do not believe that I would choose any individual guest here in ET to build a trading room with. Firstly, I am an independent thinker and secondly I do not think the motivation in the room would be a work of teamwork. Rather as some have mentioned simply a place for a trader to learn and go on his own way. Fellows like the Bright trading people and Don are perhaps an exception to this, I really do not know. But Bright has been around a long time, seemingly accomplishing this trading room concept. The formula for success I would not know. It seems the existence of a trading room needs to draw in newbies and their money while offering the room for growth and experience. Maybe less than 1% remain. As far as exploiting my personal system of trading Forex... spread out with many traders....I would not do this. I grow bored in my solo trading world with only the money motivating me now. I have just moved $8,810.00 over to my live Retail Spot Forex account and will return to live trading our own money with Wifey. I know this is a small amount, but I look forward to growing it slowly and steadily. I once thought trading OPM would inject the volume thus netting me an acceleration to my goal of retirement, but I have resolved, that it will go just as fast trading my own money. I would rather just keep the small profits (but at least its ALL of them) for our retirement, rather than to make 5% of larger numbers and having to put up with all the BS around OPM. There is nothing to build besides wealth. ET has nothing to offer me other than entertainment. Sure hungry traders PM asking me to teach them...others, "on the take", want something from me....but what it all boils down to is that ET is my Trading Room and I maintain full control of what I choose to partake in. You never know it all and there is always time for learning, and that occasional post here in ET that is a Gem still pops up. So I remain, sifting through the garbage looking for new ideas to add to my existing trading systems. The deeper meaning of this thread some of you understood and shared what you thought were important characteristics or attributes for successful traders. The "Teamwork of Trading" I do not believe exists. Michael B.
sorry for the long post preceding this one, but please try to read it....It's in "plain speak" and down to earth..... I can promise you someday when I finish writing my book you will get more of this. Without you knowing, as you read through the pages you will discover a writing technique that will allow you to recieve a basis for "One mans Way to Think and Trade".... But before I publish this "all-around" trading book, I will first document millions in profit. so you have not rid ET of me yet
