Well I already have a Vauxhall. I hope that some day GM = Good Morning, rather than at present when I get up to go to work, and think "s**t not again". I have a CFD account now, with a UK broker at a cost of $4 in total for a trade (buy+sell) and I put £1000 into the account. I've been trading 100 shares in the evenings after work, which is not ideal, fortunately I can be at home each Friday afternoon in time for the NYSE open. It should be interesting to see how long my account lasts. I'm down about $40 so far. I lost a bit last week but have made a few $ this evening and yesterday on DV!
CMC Markets. Account size is currently $1400 its for training purposes, cost $4 (buy+sell) and theres the spread too. So risk per trade is already abut 0.5% before considering a stop loss. When/if I use a much larger account I'll then choose whatever broker is best based on whatever minumum commission charges they have.
Hmmm, I don't want to sound negative and perhaps I shouldn't say this, but I had a look at them and there are some woeful reviews out there, have a look on the site that TE doesn't like to mention...
Sometimes you get what you pay for. Inexpensive can translate into hugely expensive. Just wait until you make your first error or have a technical problem on your end and need to get someone on the phone. Your minimum commission broker will suddenly become very expensive. I have no affiliation with any broker. Am not a broker.
Before I chose a broker I did read the reviews on the site you mention and so far can't say that I've had any problems. I vaguely recall one reviewer saying that the CMC software caused their PC to freeze every few minutes, but thats not happened to any of my PCs.
