  1. Hey burb...sorry for the off topic request. Where the rubber meets the road thread would be an ideal place....

Thanks Jack. I'm responding because you started this rant by quoting my chart and post. You might be a little off track but a B+ for effort. Keep at it and someday you may get to 10000 posts, which of course will automatically make you a Trading God. Good Luck. No offense taken either! Very Impressive stuff.

  3. At this point we are in a non dom 2 to 3 in the traverse of the pt 3 to FTT of the Depression. It is like a repreave before the very intense third move after the end of the Bull retrace. Heck of a lot of hope out there.

My schedule this week gets intense tomorrow AM. Surgery stuff in the family. Chlorhexidine about 15 mins before open, etc.

This year will be very eventful, we guarantee it.

So about four weeks out; I can do daily narrations ahead of the market for the foreseeable future. I will also return to my daily debriefings and keeping the stock universe updating and IAS's coming down the pipe.

  4. this thread is about two things.

    TE is explaining failing.

I am a TA based trader who is the opposite of what TE thinks is the faact of the matter. Watch him blow me off with his precision critique of my TA failures.

It is the nature of a thread to cave when I come in and take it over. Thats why I only gift an invincible single leading indicator to redneck when he asks me for it.

Today a trade was posted in this thread. So I applied channels to it to show how a beginner does trend lines. I posted seven rules to go along with staying on the correct side of the market.

Trend analysis is what preceeeds trend following. As you saw the whole day was known in advance and the oreder of events unfolded like clockwork. certainly no one is reading this thread and looking at the chart sequence I posted. It is a way to fail at trading and TE has proved that beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Why would anyone want to make 100 grand on 75 grand every day? They do not. If you want to fail as a trader do TA. I just haven't understood that for 53 years.

This thread is lucky; I'm not taking it over right now with simple rules and calls ahead of the market.

I'm not in the same league as TE; he has his alias to urge him to expertise. He is taking his time it looks like. He makes good money. You know like the pro's do 20% a year. 20% is an hour or so in futures indexes; that is way off topic.

  5. Rant?

    Be nice.

You just got a few rules to glance at and discard.

thoise horizontal lines of yours are TE level TA humor.

No rant just a small comment. If you want to draw lines do TTL's and do BO trading.

There is a funy thing about the market: it is offering to anyone who wants to take it.

I'm sure you were doing 500 contracts and took down a quarter mil today. Explain it to TE.

What gives with all the fear and anxiety of TE?

My first 10,000 posts were before ET began.... lol

Is there any reason this thread is in psychology and it is not addressing TA?

TE,the very base of this criticism, jack said it ,jack predicts a small time frame, and cashes in,he has been at it 50 yrs and took a small piece of the vast ways to trade and trys to share it,he doesn't tell you where we will be six months out ,that would be another field of many that he has figured out, there is no such thing as an expert, otherwise gs would have found them all and the avg tenure of an employee would be 30 plus years, this biz is about ego,the more you see, the more you make, and you slowly come to the conclusion that you don't know jack, whatever you use to extract cash from the market is a tool, not every of a thousand tools ,just one or five or ten, your name the expert, let's everyone know whos been there, that you are a young guy who is not used to this kind of cash,if anything you post is true,.... and your head full of steam will diminish with the market,or just by osmossis as you learn and age, good luck to you, be careful because more times than not,you will fulfill the peter priciiple, where you rise to a level of incompetency, this is just a blog where anyone can post ,its not the UN trying to figure out world peace or trying to minimize the worlds insanity,so go ahead and call yourself an expert, its ok to be young, just dont think your full grown or done learning or that this is a new lasting way of life, look up the seven beatitudes and see which of the seven you have mastered and what other six you are still working on,these are rules of life or planes to try to bring yourself up to, they apply beneficially to all walks of life, with your smug attitude ,your blocking your own path to seeing the beauty life has to offer in your short 70-90 year stay...wake up and smell the coffee, a brainless sunflower turns towards the sun all day,you might try to find the same level of sunshine in your own life, chastising people and promoting yourself is a losers game, there is a limited amount of dogshit in the world, that doesnt imply that you want to hold the guiness record for noticing the most..life is about finding a new way to smile each day, so after many years of trying you have become an expert and can smile and pass it on only to create more smile, this is wealth TE..i dont expect an uplifting reply from you, but i love life and if 10 % of this sinks in, and you hate me ,it was a very profitable risk /reward trade

    Ammo,

So I understand – you are advocating herhsey’s mantra of

    Not using stops

Being in the mkt 100% (which btw arguably negates your small timeframe characterization – it would become continuous)

Being able to identify all turning points – before hand…

    XX

Learn to roll with it and filter out the noise (noise being as per your definition not mine)… Just focus on the stuff that matters to you (again as per your definition)

It’ll be a skill you can transfer to the mkt – I assure you…

    TE,

I agree – we are posting in a fish bowl. (hence my reference to MN about being a pet fish)

And no doubt there are some lazy asses waiting for someone to spoon feed them – but these types exist in all facets of life

On the other hand there are a few here trying – They have my respect… And my attention…

    I have pondered

How much is enough… how much is too much… how much is just enough to set someone up for a big F’up (which is what I don’t want to happen)

    I just don’t know…

So let me give this some more thought…

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As for me getting any type of ego boost or big head out of this – won’t happen… The market has handed me my ass enough times that I know beyond any shadow – it is king – I am its bitch …

Furthermore with respect to the market – I know absolutely….

    I am a dumbass

    I am a lifelong student

I do not know where the market is going next… hence my only option is to stick my head up its ass and follow

My only recourse if I am to have any control – is to protect my capital by not losing more than is acceptable to me on each trade …

And I can only maintain this control IF I use a stop with every trade… AND I take my stop when it’s hit without the slightest reservation

These are my truths… These are who I am…. These cannot be changed

Sharing only helps my heart – it does nothing for my account or self-image… nor will any of these folks ever offer to share my losses either…

There are however some things that money just can’t buy

Thank You for the food for thought…
