Hi all, I am about to start trading e-minis and considering opening an account with IB. I am a bit confused about other software that "has to be used" alongside their TWS. What is the real point of using for instance Quotetracker (Medved) alongside TWS, is it because QT offers more superior charting/TA? I have not checked out TWS as yet, therefore I need to obtain some advice on what is the better set-up. As far as I understood it IB's data feed is not as "sharp" as let's say IQFeed, therfore I can understand that getting IQFeed would be prefered alongside QT and place orders via QT interface. Anyway, a bit confused. Help
IB's data feed is fine for ES, etc. Ya will want better charting than what they offer though. Ensign works well for most markets. High end software at $40 per month.
