Would have gone to Vegas 4-6 times over the last 16 months instead of trading options...At least I would have gotten free drinks there.
When I got out of school I thought the universe is a friendly place. Now I understand the advice about getting a dog.
In early 80's I learned to count cards and every "weekend" I would fly to Vegas and very early in morning I would play 30 minutes at many of the one deck shoe casinos. It got so boring after six months, became like a job worst than back home. And dumb me didn't learn anything from the experience regarding later on about day trading. You backtest till you have a very good set of rules, and then it becomes a numbers thing. Keep playing the game and you will win overall. I always drank apple juice and would stagger into casinos like a tourist, if I knew deck was rich in face cards, bet heavy, split & double down, and if I knew lots of little numbers-play small and at 6am, I was done for "my day". It is so much like ES day trading, play same signals for 40 minutes, make my goal and quit.
