I wish i could remember the history so that i could know the exact market price action and thus make more money. :) Correct my previous mistakes for profits. :)

  3. I'd have avoided daytrading and kept at longer-term speculation from the start.

    At age 18:

Start dollar cost averaging into indexes.

Quit smoking cigarettes and dope (came later)

Work hard at getting good at guitar. Learn how to repair and build them.

  5. Would have gone to Vegas 4-6 times over the last 16 months instead of trading options...At least I would have gotten free drinks there.

When I got out of school I thought the universe is a friendly place.
Now I understand the advice about getting a dog.

In early 80's I learned to count cards and every "weekend" I would fly to Vegas and very early in morning I would play 30 minutes at many of the one deck shoe casinos. It got so boring after six months, became like a job worst than back home. And dumb me didn't learn anything from the experience regarding later on about day trading. You backtest till you have a very good set of rules, and then it becomes a numbers thing. Keep playing the game and you will win overall.

I always drank apple juice and would stagger into casinos like a tourist, if I knew deck was rich in face cards, bet heavy, split & double down, and if I knew lots of little numbers-play small and at 6am, I was done for "my day". It is so much like ES day trading, play same signals for 40 minutes, make my goal and quit.
