If you want to splash it at roulette don't play the double zero tables. Only 1 zero is still not quite 50/50 chance
I have a friend who plays video poker and has made money 14/15 years of $100k or more. She plays 500 hands an hour in high rollers rooms, and she makes out well on the points her game cards that record her play from all the casinos. She always wins min of two cars a year. She only plays at casino that offer 4500 to 1 for Royal Frush. Video poker is strictly a numbers play, just like trading, learn and collect. And she lives in Vegas area, she goes to work most days for a few hours, lots of tourmaments. I would take the 50k and do tax lien notes, much safer and possibility of getting the property. Gambling too high a risk if you know little about it, just like trading.
FYI, this is a common interview question at banks and trading desks. The answer is "I would bet nothing". On a different note, a gambler can be a profitable gambler.
