If you could sort of occasionally call tops and bottoms, which position sizing style would you use?

Yes, but that's tradition at ET:

    • to keep people posting, threads are repeated all the time with a light variation
    • posters start ith a new alias to do so
    • and each timea lot of posters are caught and they start to repeat what they posted earlier in the previous similar thread
That's where the saying "history repeats itself" comes from.
If you don't know what to do with your free time you can try you find the number of threads that are asking "does TA work?". Or try threads with "countries with low taxation".

  4. schweiz is pissed that his exaggerated claims are not believed in
Maybe misses Xela since they both didn't remember last time they had a drawdown longer than 48hrs.

Eddie Murphy played this part better LOL

To be called a clown, an idiot, a snake oil man, a dreamer, a faker, etc...
    No thanks.
Behavior of posters is responsable for the (lack of) quality found on ET. The only interesting things are posted in PM's to avoid name calling ad bashers to attack what people wish to share.
But even that is past for me now.

    Palindrome

    Let's say on Nasdaq futures:

    I enter with a 20 handle stop loss ( I use wide stops )
Once position is up half my max risk 20/2 = 10, I then move my stop to Break even + 1.

I then let it ride until my target is hit and take the whole position off. I don't scale out.

  10. Less work more money :) on each trade...but you must evaluate the longer series of trades that you make.

It all comes down to how you manage MAE and MFE.

    ES

P.S. If I were not trading momentum I would scale in also.
