  1. Why not? You left the country, they shouldn't be afraid anymore!

  5. To be honest... I have gone through a lot of country options. Weighing all factors (taxes, climate, education (for kids), lifestyle, crime/safety, cost of quality/seafront real estate, language (English)) I think NZ and AU come out on top.

    - Carribean: Nice taxes e.g. on Bahamas but insanely expensive since all tax dodgers from the US drive up demand
    - Dubai: Nice taxes but a hellhole of a city.
    - Cyprus/Malta: Decent taxes and climate, but dirty and mediocre quality of life
    - South Africa: Beautiful country, high crime rate, corrupt society

AU/NZ: English language, western culture, decent education system, reasonably safe, low level of corruption and modern Architecture since the countries are reasonably young. I hate the European/Spanish/French oldschool architecture and interior design. It's such a turn-off. Who wants to live in a 250 year old house that looks like an old castle? What I saw in NZ/AU real estate is all brand new with top-notch modern interior design and finishing. Lots of glass and light.

Of course there are negatives, such as taxes not being any better than Europe or US but if I learned one thing then its this: You can't have both. Either you pay taxes or an equivalent amount in high property prices and living costs (Monaco, Bahamas, Dubai) or you pay no taxes and enjoy low costs of living but you live in a garbage country with zero quality of life (Panama, Costa Rica, Phillipines etc.).

  8. Nicest places I have personally visited and would love to reside:

    1. French Polynesia, Bora Bora especially. Women are super pristine and the scenery .... google it and you will see.

    2. Cook Island - very relaxing and serene.

    3. Nw Zealand - quiet, refined, civilized, safe. Lovely vistas.

    4. Australia - big, interesting, cool and friendly people.

    5. Hawaii - Oahu or Maui - vistas, many tourists, good food, clean air, no snakes of any kind, no humidity, perfect weather all year long, diving galore, close to Asia and south Pacific for that once a year trip to Bora Bora. 1st. world infrastructure.
