  2. Punta Pacific is built on the old Civil Airport which has now moved to Albrook. There are very few mosquitoes, even in the rainy season. Towards Tocuman, Costa Del Esta, they are a bigger problem. Dengue is prevalent in some areas, and care must be taken in keeping standing water clear.

  3. Sorry Costa Del Esta is what I was referring to, I mixed up the names. UNfortunately I have not had time to visit that new mall they built there. I do remember when the old Airport was there and you drive along that road near the edge fo the runway and the planes would come right over head.

The last 2 years my wife has gone back as I had to stay for work but will be there in the winter and looking forward to seeing that new Mall and more additions around the causeway. I am always looking at real estate and last time saw the condos in those Evergreen Towers near ATLAPA/Caeser's Park.

  4. plus, the more complex your set-up, the higher the acc't fees - if no state tax, no requirement to file.

  5. I thought that was where you meant. Caeser´s Park is now the Sheriton. There are many new developments in the reverted areas besides the city condos. You will see a big change, and more traffic!

  7. Your answer is incoherent, illogical, and badly written. Most of Asia is very poor, with some pockets of wealth. This is a FACT not an opinion. You may try to portrait Asia as a continent where everybody has a high standard of living but that would be a total lie. Everybody who reads newspapers is fully aware of it.
Prostitution is rampant and visible and cheap. Many people go to SE Asia to get laid and have great vacations on a budget. Again FACTS.
Get off your high horse about Asia and stop making it into a paradise which it clearly is not.

You will have a hard time bumping into prostitution even in Bangkok, unless you purposefully head to Patpong, Soi Cowboy etc. And even in there, it's not the kind of sleaze and dirt as in western countries. If you just want good light fun you can have it, nobody's forcing beaver or katoey cock down your throat there. Other than that, it's a normal large Asian city. Safe, ordinary, family-friendly.

Paradise is different things to different people. If you whore your way around the world that's what your world is like. For someone else it might be a misty morning in Chiang Mai eating a $0.20 breakfast of rice, tea and a little curry sauce from yesterday's meal.

Talking of food, the cheapest meal I ever ate cost $0.02 and it was a tasty and fulfilling experience with no mean recourses. Remembering experiences like that I've been able to avoid Starsux with their $3 coffees. Happy with a 1 gal electric kettle on my desk, $3 keeps me swimming in coffee for a month.

  9. Statstic on thai tourism have shown, anyone visited thailand, had returned at least 3 times in his life time.

Tourism growth rate "Avarage 8%" is one of the fastest in the world. In 2006 around 13 million and 2007 expected 14.5 million tourist. There was slow growth in 2004 and 2005 due to Tsunami, SARS and bird flue....but recovering

I'm sure brazil and many latin american countries offers hotter woman & sex than thailand, but their tourism growth isn't half as much thailalnd. Brazil has 6 million tourist arrival and Philiphine 3 million, Indonesia 5.5 million

It's not about sex only, open your eyes, it's about people attitude and Thailand enviroment that brings in tourist. The growth rate for Family catogary has outperformed single tourists in recent years.

  10. You are talking about SE Asia. I was referring to all of Asia which includes India and China.
Sorry, but when I travel I do not get excited about 2c meal I had. There is more to life than traveling on the budget (Been there, done that). I am sure Asia is lovely, but it does have its share of problems (as every other continent). Could it be paradise? Yes for some at me point. :D

    Peace!
