In NZ now,if you can gain residency, they will allow your foreign income tax free for four years.Anyone know of any other half decent country doing this deal?
They are VERY visible in society. Where I lived in Osaka there was a building with a yakuza group crest and name on the front door. It was their "office", simple as that. Do Mafia families in NY have official offices with "Corleone Syndicate" emblazoned on the door? They're like lice in many parts of Osaka and some parts of Tokyo, crawling everywhere... Suss
You can add Seattle to that list of most livable. Plus in Washington state, no State Income tax. Highest educated population in the US. Beats Vancouver, BC hands down in my opinion. unless you can't afford Health Incsurance, the only downside to living the USA. Then again you get what you pay for. The quality of US Health care is heads and shoulders above Canada (I have lived 40 years in Canada 11 in USA)
I didn't mean visible in that sense, we were talking about street crime, when I was there women walked home at 1 am by themselves in perfect safety.. evidently that has changed.. and it's not the Yakuza.. it's young Japanese brought up on American pop culture
Black men, particular in Northern Europe and (any American) get the same treatment dude, and NY Women are not that bad if YOU got class
As letterman would say nothing more exciting than getting mugged in Central park in the spring with all that beautiful garbage decorating the streets
I wouldn't live anywhere too hot, perhaps Andorra, if you want drama, then you are not too far from Paris, London, Amsterdam, etc.
