Nodoji, Just ignore this if it is off topic, but you have been very forthcoming in describing your progress in trading. You may have already discussed this somewhere in the past and I missed it, but before entering into the trading arena, what was your job, endeavor or livelihood that allowed you to make the transition full time? bmw (by the way I drive a mercury, but my favorite motorcycle is a bmw)
Thanks for that excellent take on PA. Consciously creating a narrative as the PA unfolds has been of tremendous help to me. I have been viewing behavior as the crowd's energy state, allowing for the further categorization of behavior at any given time as a combination of kinetic and potential energy. Your description of the creation and movement of this energy, through a shift from value to momentum and back, has further clarified my thinking.
My main work at the (very small) technology business we eventually sold was testing software and writing the user manuals, tutorials, and help topics. However, since the company was so small I also handled all the bookkeeping and payroll, developed marketing materials, and helped with customer support at times as well. The small chunk of cash we got when we sold the business allowed us to give trading a try when I stumbled across the idea in early 2008.
This was a big breakthrough for me as well. I remember when I thought traders here on ET who came across as consistently profitable had some sort of fixed "edge", a Holy Grail, so to speak. Only much later did I discover what price action trading really is: a dynamic edge that self-adapts to the unfolding story being told by market participants at any point in time.
May I try? Price actin tradin is a kaleidoscopic advantage that self-replicates and enhances the fantasy tale of the various market players all the time. Whatcha think? Good??
Argue about it, or attempt to discredit through ridicule ... I've lurked here off and on for the better part of a decade ... and this is the one constant of ET. The above quote of yours is from 2 or 3 years back. Same stuff, different day.
