Lots of people showed up for a chat today. Market was a bit choppy and tricky so there was ample room for conflicting opinion.

    Thanks Niko for the initiative.

  4. I agree with all of your points.

However, I don't see methodical & predictable movements in other commodities like I do in ES. ES seems to honor trend lines and S/R levels more so than other markets. I guess the YM/NQ are pretty good too, but RLM over the last few months would have driven me crazy.

ES also fits my personality, on a 2000 tick chart time I have enough time to react and it doesn't move so sharply like I've seen crude or others.

Would you recommend anything other then NQ? I agree NQ appears more trendy than ES which might make it easier to make $.

I agree with the statement about chop I took the short at 833 because it failed at the last swing high but my profit didn' last long!

I recommend whatever enables the trader to reach his goals. I don't know what your goals are, but you appear to have been at this for at least four years and you have not yet reached those goals. So the question of whether or not the ES is the most appropriate instrument begs to be asked.

  7. Can you trade EOD the same way you day trade? Would something like the first retrace after a sl/dl break be viable on a daily chart?

I don't think I'd be very good company while I'm trading. But someday, I may be able to talk, trade, and chew gum at the same time :D

That would be exactly what I would be worried about in a chat environment. I would not want to be in a situation where I might be influenced by anything other that what I am seeing and interpreting for myself.
