Yep, anyone who takes $100 would (probably) make good money. The borrow costs me $ every day so I'm willing to accept it.
So did anyone take you up on your offer, or are you still short in the high $50s now? Would it have been better for you if someone had taken your offer or not?
I got out on the unhalt at $90 avg. It cost me about $10k in borrow fees which left me with $20k profit.
I agree this is BS how they changed the rules for shorting, however, we cannot control this as many of the arbitrary rules they change to their own benefit. In these "shorting" cases, it seems it would be more prudent to buy PUT Options instead. I had 20 CALL Contracts on the VIX back in May 2011 when the "flash crash" happened, then they cancelled all trades that day.
scam stocks for sure!!! I lost a bundle on DANG, and I had 1000 shares of ALIBABA when it was $1.75/share. So what did they do? buyback all outstanding shares then re-release a year later at a huge price increase. Total B S!!!
