Simple reason , they're the one's who are in charge. Your lot are so desperate to be 'on the inside' that you're fielding an endless stretch of useless candidates hoping and praying that one succeeds.

The truth is political persuasion is linked to your personality, upbringing, sense of self interest and local culture. While partisans of different stripes like to think of those in different camps as stupid, the truth is Democrats and Republicans run the gamut of the intelligence spectrum. One very dumb thing one can do is assume one's political opposition is dumb. Or to simplify and pigeonhole the guy across the aisle. While the OP had a silly and shallow urge that led her to start this thread, generally there is considerable nuance and variety within the Republican and Democratic camps. It's the politicians who regard the masses as dumb on a collective scale.
