I WAS going to put a link to some sites claiming 200% returns per month via a forex robot, but I thought I'd get accused of spamming ;)

Are you currently looking for a job?

  4. Wow! pitz has never had a real job but he owns a nicely restored Jaguar E-type and an early 1990s Oldsmobile. Do you think that he got all these nice toys because of the system he claims to have. You know, the one where he only has to work 20 minutes everyday to suck enough cash out of the market to pay for his playboy lifestyle.

  5. IMO, IT professionals should plan their retirement before they reach 40 in this 'flat' world.

  6. Here's my take. I think that if I could go back in time, I would do things differently and I wouldn't have taken crappy jobs (I graduated in Dec 2001). I would have moved in with my parents like she did. I would start a home business or something. I would have tolerated my parents. She's lucky she doesn't have a job. Having a job is overrated.

Welfare is net drain on productivity and job creation. Business owners and employees have to carry the jobless on their backs via taxes, which otherwise could have gone to increased consumption (jobs), or additional operating capital (from which to invest, or expand existing business = more jobs).

The argument that college grads should sit tight and collect welfare until their degrees can be put to good use is an insult to anyone who's ever worked a day in their life. You actually think somebody else should pay your rent and living expenses because you don't want to bus tables or deliver pizza?!?!? No wonder you haven't found a job. You're lazy, man.

While I agree, the American job market is toast and H1B visas really screwed it for the IT grads, guess what? It's not gonna change. This is the new normal.

America outsourced huge swaths of it's manufacturing, service and IT base. We lost over 9 million jobs last recession. They're not coming back. You need to get over that sense of entitlement, swallow your pride, get a job, or make your own (start a company). Stop expecting a handout. You sound like these moron Democrats who thought Obama would pay their mortgages and gasoline. Honestly, the economy and Country is going down the tubes but when there's jobs to be had, the able bodied and sound of mind (that's you) ought to be working them. It sounds like you're just making excuses to sit at home and collect a paycheck.

  8. It is time to put pitz (more like, PUTZ) on ignore. A tech person who could not find a job in 2003-2008 is basically someone on the reject pile. I know many tech people, experienced and new grads, who were aggressively chased by recruiters for positions during this period.
