    If I had to be under the influence of either Mexico, Russia or the EU?

    None of the above. I'd move to Belize.

    Now if the U.S. had a peaceful secession with the welfare statists taking part of the country and productive/sane citizens occupying the rest, that's a whole different story.
     
  3. How could that happen? The Welfare States (Takers) have NOTHING unless they can confiscate wealth from the Makers.

    The Takers haven't figured it out. They somehow have come to the conclusion that they are "entitled" to something simply for having been born.

    True. Whenever I hear them complain of the "tea party" crowd, I always ask why we can't just peacefully separate? After all, the Left claims to be the liberal, tolerant types. Why can't they run their welfare state and let the "greedy capitalists" live the way they want? But most of them are actually power-hungry, totalitarian types who want to micromanage society.

    There are a few exceptions, such as Vermont, which is quite liberal but seems to have a pretty strong independent/secessionist streak.

    I agree. I played along with it for fun, and do think a coming U.S. break-up is possible. However, I don't think his map was based on anything but pure speculation from a Russian with no clue about the U.S.
     
  9. Happy in TEXAS. I live in a Kick ass Loft off the Famed RiverWalk Downtown. I can drive or fly to Houston or Dallas for fun. Austin is a hop skip and jump. Plenty of Rivers, (Go tubbing everyweekend in the summer), lakes and even Wine Country.

    San Antonio is one of the slowest cities to catch up but as I said..Dallas and Houston, Austin...not far at all.

    No state Tax.

    Energy prices are super low as Texas has Oil and Gas.


    Blue sky, Hot in the summer and a little cool in the winter.

    Plenty of good reason's to stay in TEXAS....

    So let the Liberals Destroy the Left and East Coast. The people voted for them and if the keep them in office...so be it.

    OBAMA just came out and said this IS NOT A JOBLESS RECOVERY AND THE RECESSION IS OVER.

    So, if you can believe his bullshit then you can believe that the Russian may be on to something.


    There are a few problems, illegal immigration being the biggest, but Texas is getting that under control.
