  1. You are EXACTLY the sort of moron I described in an earlier post. You have nothing but ad hominem attacks on others. I will neither defend Christianity nor any other religion to you - you are too stupid to understand logic. Please answer my question from the previous post...how will America pay off the $39,000 per capita present debt or the $177,000 per capita unfunded entitlements.

  2. Indeed.
I have most of that covered. I can make fuel. (E85 And fine spirits)
But for the diesel I would have to submit a 168gr BTHP @850+ yds to establish a fueling station. (CryoM21 and SS Obermeier 5r heavy match.)

    Go Wolverines!

  4. Can a survivalist on here that is really preparing for this scenario tell me why buying precious metals is so important for the economic collapse of this kind? I would just buy guns and ammo and basic necessities instead. That would be the only currency worth having after such a collapse. What good is buying metals without a small army to protect and transport it? Yeah, gold is a store of value but only if you can hang on to it long enough to use it to buy stuff after the the s$!# meets the fan. It would be more of a liability by making you a target with a "stockpile" of gold and silver than anything else. Personally, I am doing nothing because nothing this drastic is probably what is going to happen, at least in our lifetime anyway.

  5. Perhaps.

I am a very prepared person. I am a crack shot at 850+ yards with equipment that even the best Snipers in the World would have to wait over a year to get their orders filled. (I have extensive training in numbers of combat arenas as I have an interesting history.)

I have maintained equipment that simply isn't available at the level of quality I have.

However I am not desirous nor prepared emotionally to harm another person. I pray that I don't have to face those choices. I am mentally prepared to do so and realistic and well trained. However I am a born again believer and desire a whole different path for me and my household.

For me preparedness is staying several steps ahead of predictable potential problems so that one can choose options that are not environmentally forced upon you.

    It is broad spectrum insurance.

I think I will have my kids uncap Chitosan diet pills for the med kit and load Clinoptilolite in them this week.
(Less than 1/10 of 1% of top government service agencies know why I would do both of these things. ...
What common household ingredient would I want to ad to the Chitosan to enhance it's function? Hint: Starts with the letter "S.")

  6. You are quite right in several respects. However no one knows what level of collapse, correction, depression or deep recession we might be facing without it being a speculative guess. No knows the level of rage, violence nor criminal intent or marshal law or oppression that might accompany any of these scenarios.

So ... having a positive outlook, investing and trading well regardless of the circumstance ... would require a spectrum of capital preservation that meets some or all of differing scenarios and their priority.

Having Gold and Silver and the inability to protect it would be unwise. Having Gold and no food in a collapsed economy where Gold is useless would be unwise. Having a lot of food and no ability to protect it in a violent and collapsed economy would be unwise.

Having a moderated view of supplies and trading and investing for the future is smart. I have many things that retain value but currently I want to keep for security reasons until the times prove they are not necessary.

Preparation is not over reaction nor fanatical unless proof of the times warrants it useless. Usually however that is not determined before hand.

Hence the well prepared write the history taught to our children.

Precious metals could have value in semi-traumatic times where market trading and sustenance and agri-economies are functioning. However when their is widespread famine those commodities lose value to the common peoples. The wealthy and well fed will still accumulate them on the cheap however.

Community can and will form out of fears, faith, safety, necessity or control as has always been recorded amongst the survivors of mankind's trials or deluges. It usually is a saving necessity and rediscovery of the masses versus a selfless cooperative of individual ideology. More of a "huddling together for warmth" than anything noble.

  7. I am talking about history say it is christians that civilize people. USA is become one of the very rich countrys and educated compare to all the world. Successful and developed. If collapse happens, LOGIC say people will be like the community and work together to survive if it is true christian nation make people civilized. But I read so many posts they talk about killing.
I was talking how educated, civil, christian nation with christian compassion should work together for food and basic. Not kill. I was not talking about the USA debt to you.
You are the one who attack because I ask the question why christian nation want to kill and not work together.

  8. Lethn

    Lethn

That's a load of bollocks and your 'logic' smells like propaganda pushing to me.

If you look at what has happened in history with Christian countries, never mind the religion they're some of the most war mongering dirtbags out there. I hope I don't even need to mention the Crusades. Very few people who claim to their religion actually genuinely believe in it, either they have bullshit indoctrinated into their brains by a priest or they just do it to score points with their peers like politicians do.

  9. Yes. I say it is not christianity that make people civilize. Cooperation to survive is what civilize. Empathy and law.

  10. Why are you attempting to hijack this thread? Can you retain a train of thought? This is a thread about "If the economy collapses, are you prepared?" My position is that the situation is more dire than the thread topic. I believe it is not if the economy will collapse, but when it will collapse.
