  1. So many people on the thread talk about guns and fighting with collapse. But no one think people will work together in community?
For example people in the warm climate of USA will learn to grow vegetable, fruit and legumes, and maybe they trade with people in cold places for meat from hunting? And this way they use less fuel from imports. Then when they become strong again they can trade with the world again?

  2. Wow, what a pipe dream.

No, people will not work together in community. People in general are about 3 food-deprived days from becoming vicious animals.

  3. Yes, but I don't believe that that any rich and wealthy country will collapse. There will always be ways and means to recover.

  5. USA is not Haiti because most people of Haiti are poor before collapse, and not educated. You are saying USA people will steal and kill like Haiti? Or USA is more educated to not do that? And all the christians too in USA is so much proof they are community people and not savage? Hmm?

  6. Prepare for the worst. Take nothing for granted. Assume that fuel will not be available. Assume medical supplies are only what you have stored or can produce yourself. Assume the same conditions for food.

  8. People in USA, Europe, etc. that have never in their lives experienced real, prolonged shortages of medical supplies and basic food and fuel will quickly devolve into snarling packs of animals during a worst-case scenario. Yes, they will steal and kill for it.

The fact that some may or may not be Christians (or any religeon)is irrelevant when your children are starving to death from hunger or dying from a treatable infection and you have no meds for it.

  9. I think you could be right. There is a saying that being rich and then losing everything is so much worse than never having had anything to begin with. You have to assume the same psychological devastation on the mind of a people that lived in houses with central heat & air, 2 cars in the garage and cable television, and then having none of that one day, plus no food and no idea how to get food (as most americans are not taught how to find food other than to look for it at the grocery store) is something that is hard for a human mind to deal with. At least in Haiti they were used to living poor all their lives and they really are not seeing much of a harder life than they already had before.

When you are at the top, its a long way down to the bottom and the bigger they are, the harder they fall.

  10. Yes! You see? First people come to Americas to (civilize) with christianity. NOW you have the rich nation of christians in USA. But if the shortage of food happen, so many people of this thread say kill, kill, kill, So what happen to the christians that think they are so peaceful and make brown and black people (civilized)???? They want to kill their own white and christian brother. You can not blame the brown and black people this time. Your religion did not make you civil. You are the same like Haiti when you are hungry.
