Another factor the jobs report does not address is the pay rate of the jobs created. At least 10,000 jobs a month are part time fast food turnover, or churn. All of these jobs are mimium wage. Here is a link to a report in Washington State, 69.5 percent of all new jobs created here in the last 5 years were below a living. wage.http://archives.seattletimes.nwsour...ug=jobspay05&date=20070805&query=jobs+created
The jobs number was a lie. It reversed the 12 months of lies that preceded it. In the prior 12 months, the jobs numbers were overstated by 368,000. This was as result of an either flawed or intentionally false birth/death adjustment system. Watch next month as they revise the -17,000 to a -100,000 or -200,000. The real number for January had to be closer to that to be realistic given the -368,000 adjustment included in the -17,000 number. I think they overstated it intentionally this time in order to avoid causing a panic. Maybe its about time they just reported the actual numbers each month instead on monkeying with them?
