No, statistics clearly show armed citizens create a more dangerous society. Its not even debatable. The US has a huge crime issue. Check the murder rate in a small city like Memphis ( for example ); its shocking. Check the percentage of your citizens in jails. I hate it went people push myths to further their politics.
