  1. Criminal blacks are not afraid of the Police. They think they are better than the Police. More mean, more nasty.

The question you need to ask about Lebron or any other celebrity professional athlete in the world (e.g. tennis, swimming, soccer, hockey, football, F1 racing, Nascar, Olympics, baseball or any other pro sport)...

The issues they talk about, is their prior conflict between the athlete and the person they're complaining about ?

The issue involving Lebron and Daryl Morey (the NBA executive) had a prior issue before Morey made his tweets about supporting the protesters in Hong Kong when the NBA specifically had a policy that team owners, team executives are not allowed to use social media to express their views about China.

That tweet (later deleted) set off a firestorm that pssst off a lot of NBA players about why that guy was able to say something when in reality he had a financial interest in a Chinese company trying to profit off the backs of the protesters.

Educate yourself...the U.S. has been going into the Chinese basketball markets because there's a ton of money there for the NBA and some team owners / executives have been doing business via back door channels with companies. If the company supports to protesters...the owner / executive supports the protesters.

Yet, the company they're doing business with does not support the protesters...the owner / executive does not support the protesters.

My point, there's a ton of back door money issues that you and I don't know about but LeBron is aware about because of his direct connections to the money trail.
    • So yeah...you nailed it...it was about the money.
By the way, I'm not a basketball fan. My favourite sports to watch are hockey and F1 racing. These are sports I've travel the world to attend in person even though they are not sports I myself played as a youth, teenager and in college...I was on crew teams (rowing) and competed a little in Judo.
    • You're comments are ignorant, uneducated and very naive.
My point, I know enough about sports to know that there's a money trail linked to their comments...nothing new about that considering it happens in other professions. Some athletes say things to attack that money trail or support that money trail.

You mention Chicago which was a bit strange in the same message post you started via talking about LeBron James and then switch to about the Black Lives Matter. You aware that Lebron is Akron, Ohio and has a deep love for Cleveland and competed against top teams on the AAU level when he was a teenager ?

Also, you aware that BLM started in Florida and spread quickly internationally via social media ?

By you mentioning all the above together...I want to make sure you weren't implying the BLM was or is rooted in Chicago.

The specific other athletes you mention has a strong amateur sport history with Chicago / competitions and the same with Los Angeles, Boston, Miami, St. Louis, Seattle to just name a few cities.

Here's a history lesson about Chicago Crime

It's long but actually a brief history...so try to keep up if you can.

I know a lot about Chicago although I was born in another country. I was raised in Chicago (military family) on the North side and educated in the private school system. Chicago has a strong history with crime and politics since the Prohibition Days alcohol, teamsters, pork and criminals (gangsters)...all interconnected although it really started in the 1910's from immigrants.
    • Crime and Politics go hand and hand...well blended..it's the norm in Chicago.
For about +60 years..gangsters and the mob crime was the news...White on White crime. Some of the most famous shootings involved the Chicago gangsters and they were either Italians, Irish or Jewish that linked to other criminal organizations in other cities in the U.S.

It sold the newspapers and magazines. When that money trail begin to dry up in the city itself or became more hidden due to the crackdown by the government and honest police officers...those in charge in the crime syndicate moved the money into other illegal activities in the nearby neighbourhoods of the Hispanic and Blacks to maintain their money flow while they enjoyed the fruits of their crimes via living in very wealthy nearby suburbs of Chicago.
    • Essentially White Criminals moving their money trail into the neighbourhoods of Minorities.
If you actually knew anything about Chicago or lived anywhere in the Chicago area...you saw this happening. You saw the crack down on organized crime that forced them to move their operation (money trail) into the inner city as in the nearby neighbourhoods of the Southside and Westside in a very condensed area controlled by the owners (old elements of the mob / gangsters / politicians).

This was very easy to do considering Chicago was made up of different mobster organizations that were originally headquarter in those neighbourhoods...Southside gangsters, Westside Gangsters and so on...all on land purchased or taken from Native Americans.

I remember my Dad driving me to the home of a new friend of mine...an Italian kid new to rowing and very good at it too. He lived in Oak Park, Illinois...a suburb of Chicago...not too far from the bad neighbourhoods. My dad made a sarcastic commentary while driving to the home of my friend as if he knew something I didn't know but I knew he would make it something educational that I needed to learn.

He said...stay alert, stay alive and know your real enemy. It's an old military war phrase that I use to hear from other military officers.

During the car drive...he had me pull out a map from under the seat. A map of the Chicago suburbs and asked me to circle the bad neighbourhoods I knew about / heard about and then he asked me to circle Oak Park. I saw the bad neighbourhood to the east, south and south east. He asked me how many guys on the crew team from those neighbourhoods...

    None.

All the guys on my crew team were either from Evanston or other suburbs outside of the inner city areas that my Dad sometimes refer to as the basketball centers...an inexpensive sport to get kids to exercise in schools.

These schools don't have swim teams, do not have rowing teams, do not have hockey teams...very expensive sports. One of the reasons why wealthy families can live outside these neighbourhoods and send their children to private schools anywhere in the Chicago area...they usually send them to schools that had sport activities that inner city kids typically did not compete in.

Upon arrival to my friends home in Oak Park. A beautiful big home but not like the ones in Evanston, Illinois...there were three guys outside the home. They patted us down...one of them I saw a holster / gun beneath his suit jacket. A maid or someone guided us to the back yard patio where we met my friend and his Dad.

His father was very interested in our Native American heritage and interested in the fact my Dad was a Captain in the military. Also, he asked a lot of questions about the French (my mom's side of the family). The meeting between the parents (fathers) was very controlled before it got to the real point of the meeting...to discuss college because his son and I had already decided to attend the same university and to be roommates.

I remember my old man asking my friends Dad what does he do for a living but I knew my Dad already knew the answer. My friend's Dad said he does work with the Teamsters and owns a few businesses in the inner city. No other info given.

Upon leaving, I notice a picture on the wall...my friend's Dad had a picture taken with someone that looked like a high ranking police officer. Driving back, we drove through a few of the tough neighbourhoods...Blacks and Hispanic neighbourhoods.

My Dad looked at me and said the home (that guy...the father of your friend)...its people like them that are responsible for the problems in these tough inner city neighbourhoods. He then said if the tone of our skin was a different tone as in darker, our hair was different, our education background was different...this is were we could be living while not knowing whom really controls us.

We then stopped next to a barbecue place...randomly in one of these neighbourhoods. Went inside...my Dad and I got looked up and down by the people in there that were Hispanic / Latinos and Blacks.
    • Felt the exact same way as those Italian American body guards at my friends home that patted us down prior to entry into my friend's home.
Walking back outside that barbecue place, my Dad then looked at me and said...
    • Smell the neighbourhood, compare it to Evanston, compare it to Oak Park...it doesn't smell the same. It's the smell of corruption and right now at that barbecue place...we were in a place that was a by product of that corruption.
My point with the above story about Chicago...the real criminals sit at the top...unnoticed.

It's not notice because White on White crime doesn't sell the newspapers and its now a different type of crime like real estate, stock market, futures market, politics, endowment funds and many other things that typically do not sell well in the media...
    • Black on Black crimes does sell well, its a good distraction from what's really causing the problem. It has that WOW or OMG impact.
It's a by product of the White on White crime that you do not typically hear about in comparison to the past (80's, 70's, 60's, 50's, 40's, 30's, 20's, 10's) when White on White crime did sell well in the media. It sold so well...Hollywood made movies about it.

Seriously, look at how many movies have been made about Al Capone (dozens)...crime that Hollywood glorified...some of the movies won academy awards.
    • Here's the irony today...with all the attacks on the media...nobody gets that connection about the crime. The history of crime is forgotten when it comes to Chicago in specific.
They do not understand that there has been a major re-distribution of that money flow in Chicago that took a ton of money away from the top as it redistributes the money flow crime from White on White crime down into the Black on Black crime / Hispanic on Hispanic crime / Minority on Minority crime.

In reality...White on White crime changed...it didn't disappear into the inner city. Its more hidden and not talked a lot about because it has also diverged...some of it into the inner city and the rest back into real estate, restaurants, sport team ownership, endowments, stock market, futures market and Politics.

In contrast, Black on Black crime is somewhat new for the past +30 years in comparison to White on White crime from the 1910's that became famous during the Prohibition Days although it began from the 1910's immigration days.

Understand the backgrounds of these people that you behave and talk here at ET with such ignorance...as if they are your enemy. If you truly understand their anger, their neighbourhoods or connections through sports to those neighbourhoods because they competed with athletes from those neighbourhoods that they today now consider to be friends...

Understand that they are a by product of a bigger problem that America has always had a problem trying to root out from its history because some people are protecting that money flow.
    • There's a lot of wealthy neighbourhoods (suburbs) that surround Chicago...the corruption flows out of those neighbourhoods back into the inner city. Check the history of Chicago's politicians going back to the Prohibition Days...see where they lived...there's a connection.
Black on Black crime in Chicago is just a by product of a long history of corruption, organized White on White crime in Chicago that began in the 1910s.

Today, I live in Canada...my college roommate of 2 years (from Oak Park) lives in Italy and sometimes competes in the Rowing Veteran Masters level. His father...eventually went to prison for racketeering in our freshman year of college. Family still owns that huge mansion like home in Oak Park.

Stay alert, stay alive...know your enemy.

I don't know if he's terrified of the police or not, but he shouldn't be. I don't think that I've ever seen someone shot by the police when they were complying with their orders. It's really sad to think of how many of these tragedies could be prevented if parents would simply teach their kids to respect the police and follow their orders.

I saw different reactions by people pulled over by military policy versus the same people pulled over by local police.

Military police behave differently...more respectful in their commands while maintaining law & order. They get a different and more respectful reaction by those they pull over. Regular police is not the same. It's more antagonistic, untrained and more confrontational.

Thus, maybe the regular police need more training and better selective process to weed out bad characters ?

I myself was once pulled over by police near Bowling Green. Not that far from Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. Officer looked at my drivers license, military license and asked if I had any other identification. I handed him my U.S. passport and then he smirked...he then said...

You're an officer. There's no reservations around here.

No military police ever said anything like that to me the two times I was pulled over...once for not wearing my seat belt and another for not properly stopping at a stop sign on the base.

It was Sir...I pulled you over for...

I absolutely agree with this. We need better training and we need to do a better job of psychological evaluation to remove the people that aren't fit for the job. There are too many idiots that are drawn to the profession due to the power it provides. Defunding the police would actually be counterproductive. They need more funding to get things done.

When I first heard those words this year during the ongoing (still occurring) protests...

I immediately assumed it was about moving the current funds from one aspect of the police that's not working too well into another aspect of policing that works well.

Then I heard another outcry...remove the police which in my opinion is just ignorance.

That phrase means different things to different people. Some want to see the police & prison systems completely defunded and abolished. Some want to see funding reduced and moved to other areas like mental health.

I look at what the Camden, NJ police department as an example of what needs to be done. They had a lot of issues before breaking down and rebuilding their entire department. Statistics have shown that they were successful, but they actually ended up with a larger budget after the transition.

Hopefully we'll find a way to get to a better place as a country when all of the dust settles.

You will never satisfy the extreme liberal mob. This is more than white police officers shooting black suspects. More white suspects shot by white police officers but, that fact is conveniently, destroyed. What the extreme liberal Democrats is to destroy the US from within and they are engaged in fomenting racial strife to get an excuse to confiscate guns next after they defund the police. Imagine the extreme liberal Socialists, Communists, Islamists of the Democrat Party in charge of the US, nobody but, them allowed any guns, no police, no nothing. Now, you are at their mercy and they will just throw you all in jail like the fascists they are. Your life would not be worth anything. You saw how they mercilessly, shot that Trump supporter yesterday.
