Actually, there nothing much politicians can do when facing with citizen exercising their rights. This disease, 70% asymptomatic, and about 8% of infected are spreading to 60%. Some even question the effectiveness of face mask and attack people advising them to wear face mask. Mitch McConnell wears mask all the time. Good behavior and exercise some self restraining goes a long way and it might even prevent lock down. In my area, wearing face mask is mandatory and contact tracing is required when entering an enclosed area. The healthcare system will collapse if the infection rate spiral.

Biden isn't going to shut down the country. When hospital systems start to collapse due to overwhelming numbers of Covid-19 patients and then death rates spike, as we are approaching in various regions of the country currently, then people will naturally retreat and the economy will shut down of its own. This will happen prior to Biden taking office in January. Trump's denial and inaction is going to cause the shut down of the country. Entirely preventable if we had a competent POTUS; he is a pathetic failure.
As a scientist I have always thought there is a higher law than the U.S. Constitution. It's natural law, dictated to us by "Mother Nature." And I'm sorry to say that neither you nor I can do anything about that. Perhaps it's for the best that we can't. We'd be bound to scew it up.
Is there any evidence that the Covid virus can tell the difference between a Republican and a Democrat. So what's with Democrats wearing masks and Republicans not? Is there any logic to that? There can be only one logical explanation given our human propensity to want to survive. It is that Denocrats think the virus is dangerous and Republicans think it isn't. From what i know about this virus, I have to conclude that Republicans are either not very smart, or their instinct to gamble has got the better of them. .. Just reading that Iowa, Minnesota, Utah, and the Dakotas are at the point of not having any more hospital capacity. Other states are starting to reject asks for spare hospital beds due to their own surge projections for hospital needs. Iowa is telling people to make contingency plans if they think they might need some kind of hospital stay. All states are drawing from the same limited traveling nursing supply. The Covid-19 surge is everywhere. We approached 190,000 new Covid-19 cases for the past 24 hours just now. Things will be ugly in America in less than 2 weeks. Please don't be delusional about the reality of this.

Masks are proven to spread standard Flu faster, going to be the same with Covid. Everywhere shortly after masks going in has had a rise in cases.
ICU's are filling up in some parts of Europe, this is worse than March, I hear this from people working in them. Keep kidding about covid.... Masks don't work because people don't know how to use them. Ignorance is the virus we should really worry about anyway. People and governments in the West were completely oblivious on virus spread prevention. We should have adopted east Asia style protocols. Deaths globally are going for a new high just like the indexes... I stay away from people calling it an hoax as if they were carrier.
