Molecularly, they are nearly identical. Opiates come from the poppy plant, while endogenous opioids (endorphins, dynorphins & enkephalins ) are naturally occurring brain chemicals.
I am new here and just stumbled onto this post, it surely made an interesting read. All I wanted to say was that RM you seem like a nice person, it saddens me to see you get so affected by others, especially Z10. I recently attended a rigorous 10 day meditation retreat(www.dhamma.org) and learnt the power of observation without reacting. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, as long as they don't harm anyone.... I know its easier said than done, just my 2 cents...
I am skeptical too.... Try it before commenting.... easy said than done. Meditating for 10-12 hrs each day for 10 days...... and it's free.
10-12 hours of meditation, isnt that basically-sleep? Some more official propaganda, http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060101/bs_nm/depression_dc
What, and your STILL down?? http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=940760#post940760 Johnnyk has the goods here, best external drug therapy overall. If you can arrange it. A couple of weeks in, rm' posts have seemed far drier in humour, almost droll really, is that the buprenorph working?
RM is one of the most sincere and knowledgeable individuals whose thoughts I've ever read. I mean it sincerely. I am one of the most skeptical and cynical people, and I think I'm a pretty good judge of character. Cheers, RM.
dude why don't u drop EVERYTHING FOR 4 WEEKS and go on a fast THERE: http://www.dharmahealingintl.com/
...for the same reason I don't google the word "healthy", put the top 20 results in a hat, and then pick one of them at random.
ok thats cute... mine was a serious suggestion though, but perhaps you already know everything there is to know about proper fasting, and what it does to the mind...
I know it made me F*n hungry. And kinda pissed off, actually. The motivational factor though, shouldn't be overlooked. It most certainly does focus things, sure. Big time.
