someone's gotta counter IDF copy/paste GWB here....tho I'm hearing restaurant fired some pro-palestine employees so it's a bit more nuanced than antisemitism? I'll wait on CNN to add such nuance

  2. Problem is there has been a good job in the media or elsewhere linking any support for the bombed Palestinians to Hamas so supporting one is supporting the other.

I still find it laughable Congress called in University presidents to chastise them about antisemitism on campuses....like why would a university pres decide to go..nothing good was going to come from it with their double speak and being so afraid to say anything concrete.

They went because they truly believed their view was mainstream.
Everybody was against Israel. Palestinians are oppressed and the blame goes to Israel for Oct 7
Their legal consul from the same bubble said to claim context needed to be applied to Jewish genocide chants.

The Presidents are shocked that the public does not buy this

what a clusterfuck that was. They managed to essentially rollback speech on campus (unis revising statutes), sell the public on Unis being permissible of antisemitism, painted a bona fide hate monger Stefanik as virtuous, gave her clips for reelection, and couldn't even keep their jobs in doing so. I'm on the side of Unis following constitutional law for their bylaws but even I was put off by their non-answers answers as they smirked like idiots.

A big L for women but the "affirmative action" lady was head and shoulders above the "legacy" two from the little I saw.

  5. I dont understand what was so hard to come up with a simple answer "Any speech calling for the harm of another member of our campus or society is unaccpetable and not tolerated. We are actively investigating any such occurrences to make sure any violations of our code of conduct are dealt with and campus is safe for all of our students, faculty and staff."

I just made that up in 10 seconds quite easily and cannot understand why Upenn and Harvard Pres were stuttering fucks over this.

Karma comes knocking. Or may have simply been Erdogan.

Turkish lawmaker who suffered heart attack after saying Israel will suffer 'the wrath of God' has died
During a speech in parliament on Tuesday, Hasan Bitmez said Israel 'would not escape the wrath of God'

A Turkish lawmaker, who suffered a heart attack on the floor of parliament immediately after he gave a speech saying Israel would "not be able to escape the wrath of God" for its war in Gaza, has died.

Hasan Bitmez, 53, a member of parliament from the Islamist Saadet Partisi, or Felicity Party, died Thursday at the Ankara City Hospital, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced. The death came days after Bitmez collapsed at the Turkish Grand National Assembly on Tuesday immediately after criticizing the Turkish government’s policy regarding the Israel-Hamas war.

In a translated version of his speech on Tuesday, Bitmez said, "Even if history remains silent, the truth will not remain silent. They think that if they get rid of us, there will be no problem. However, if you get rid of us, you will not be able to escape the torment of conscience. Even if you escape the torment of history, you will not be able to escape the wrath of God."

He then turned and fainted, hitting his ground on what appeared to be a marble floor, prompting fellow legislators in the hall to assist him. Bitmez was then rushed to the hospital in "extremely serious and critical" condition. He later died.

A small ceremony was held for Bitmez on the grounds of the parliament building on Thursday. A small Palestinian flag was attached to his coffin alongside the Turkish flag.

Bitmez’s Felicity Party joined an opposition alliance that failed to topple Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the May presidential election.

On Tuesday, the legislator was repeatedly critical of Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Israel. Additionally, on Tuesday, Bitmez accused Erdogan’s ruling Justice and Development Party (officially abbreviated as AK Party or AKP) of continuing to engage in trade with Israel.

During his speech, he was seen holding a sign that read, "Murderer Israel, Collaborator AKP."

He ended his remarks by reading from a poem that ended with a reference to "the wrath of God."

The BBC reported that Bitmez was given first aid after he collapsed, which included CPR, before he was taken to the hospital.

According to the report, Bitmez was a diabetic and had two heart stents.

  10. i will be honest....I am finding it hard to believe a lot of posts of these things without any actual proof.

You hear of claims of Hamas shooting and killing on a terrorist spreee on Oct 7th...dash cam and numerous eyewitness testimony...

You hear about dead children in Gaza...lots of pics of the sad bodies....

the rest of that stuff people re post and say what they think they heard and now it becomes a mess....

Did Hamas have weapons and an HQ under the hospital.... who knows, neither side has gained a lot of trust on some of these issues.
