I've been searching for a source which will help shortcut my current task of pulling stocks out of IBD Group listings to find tradable stocks in all of their many sectors, for both daily and longer term plays.I filter by volume, min of 1MM shares/day and ATR of 1+. If anyone might have a suggestion or would like to participate in my project, I'd be glad to share my findings. I use IBD industry group listing which is updated once or twice a year.

  2. try Metastock. Should do what you need.
Also IBD offer scanning software - but I've never used it so can't comment

  3. lojze

  4. I've been doing this a long time and the best/cheapest software I've found for running simple scans on stocks is TC2000. Its free, but will cost $30/month for the data. I have Metastock also, but hardly ever use.

Here is site with some more info:

  5. you might want to try stockcharts.com. hope this helps. If I find anything else I will let you know.

  6. I also recommend tc2000 for everyone except hard core daytraders. For the hard core daytraders, the same company now has TCNet which costs more.
