That takes you to the thread, but not the post.

  3. DB, yes I can do it manually but it is a pain and takes a bit of time. An easier way would be nice IMO.

Here is how you can do it manually:

    1) Right click on the main thread (copy shortcut) and get the URL. For instance if you click on your journal thread, you will get:

    2) Go to the post you want to reference in that thread. Have your cursor hover over the edit/delete key and make note of the post number. For this example let's use 447215

    3) Take the URL from above and add the following to the end of it:

    &postid=447215#post447215

So the URL that should get you to a question by Jack Daniel that you wish to reference in your Price Volume thread is:

    Finally, here is the link:

    http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29005&postid=447215#post447215

This is a manual method for getting the job done. There may be a better/easier method that someone will clue me in on. (I'm all ears here).

I appreciate the response, TriPack. It isn't that I can't do it or don't know how. I asked the original question because it seemed to me that there had to be an easier way. Apparently there isn't. But you don't learn if you don't ask . . . :p
