one of the sponsors went on a rampage and attacked Susana on her journal thread.... all kinds of insults and names etc... Then Steve stopped by the thread to visit... saw what what the sponsor wrote and quit right there and then..... saying he couldnt take it any more.
heres another instance..... but this time not as bad..... http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=2024912#post2024912
A trader (ET member) questioned the merits of the business by a sponsor here at ET along with making some derrogatory and personal attacks towards the sponsor in the past. Today, the same sponsor couldn't get over what was said to him in the past and went on the attack to get revenge by trying to give the ET member a taste of her own medicine. steve46 apparently saw how unprofessional the sponsor was and said he's tired of the crap here at ET. We all knew something like this would happen. When ET members attack each other or sponsors... Eventually someone will get down right nasty about it and try to get even. It also makes it tough to start your own thread here at ET knowing you may be on someone's radar due to your past actions although I don't support the "revenge mentality" especially when it comes from a sponsor. steve's link to the crap that was said today...all the junk was rightfully deleted by the moderator. I guess round 3 is around the corner considering the ET member and the sponsor aren't the types to forget and maybe steve46 didn't want to be around to see more mudslinging between those involved. Well this thread was really helpful. Sad to see it die. Why talent is not respected or encouraged? Why we attack? Is it fear of losing or jealousy or what? Hope Steve46 returns. Please sponsors, we are here to share, learn from each other & not fight or abuse. Those can be done on trading floor but not in forum, which is different.
It takes both sides to respect to achieve what you have suggested. * Both sides are guilty of personal attacks. * Both sides are guilty of being a forum vandal (troll). * Both sides have baited for arguments et cetera many times in the past here at ET in different threads. Here's the real problem... Once a member has been identified as the above based upon their own posting history at ET... It's very difficult for them to start a thread and share because they are now on the radar of many traders wanting to give them a taste of their own medicine (e.g. Jack Hershey, steve46, T28, SusanaDT, Spectra et cetera). Many ET members have asked publicly for them to put each other on ignore list and they refuse based upon the continued arguments. Simply, part of the problem is that many of these guys/gals needs to put their egos aside to fess up about their own action, apologize about their own actions and stop doing what they themselves are disgusted about others are doing PRIOR to expecting others to do the same. When that happens, ET and many of its members will no longer consider it a Yahoo! look a like with all the B.S. bias. With that said, those the consider any thread valuable... They can easily continue the thread or topic themselves when a OP leaves for what ever reasons. No reasons why this thread should stop if its of value to any one. P.S. If nobody continues the thread, moderator should close it and only open it upon the request of the OP along with deleting all commentary (including mine) after the OP said he will not continue. Mark
