  2. Here is some really interesting stuff-- From Morgan Stanly.

Illinois Tool Works downgraded to Underweight at Morgan Stanley... Morgan Stanley analyst Joshua Pokrzywinski downgraded Illinois Tool Works (ITW) to Underweight from Equal Weight with a price target of $156, down from $165. While he views the company's end markets as "neither secularly challenged or reinvigorated in the new normal, he thinks the company's margin-focused strategy and limited M&A engagement limit its opportunities over the next cycle compared to others that he views as the "new leadership" in the multi-industry space,

I didn't know it had a name Multi-industry but this is where I have been liking the stocks-- right here quasi cyclical..

Pokrzywinski tells investors. His list of the "New Leadership in Multis" includes Ametek (AME), Fortive (FTV), Ingersoll Rand (IR) and Parker Hannifin (PH), which he rates at Overweight, as well as Colfax (CFX), Fastenal (FAST), Gates (GTES), Grainger (GWW), and Rockwell Automation (ROK), which he rates at Equal Weight.

Fortive that's our pick!!! For you IRA types... this is a name I think you want to own. Don't forget they have a division that does temperature checking stuff... A true competitor might be
FLIR. FLIR actually has been kind of dead...

FLIR Systems price target raised to $55 from $52 at Needham

FLIR Systems awarded $21.8M production contract 08:06 FLIR FLIR Systems announced it has been awarded a full-rate production option worth $21.8 million on an indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity, or IDIQ, contract with the United States Army. FLIR Systems said in a release, "FLIR will deliver its Agentase C2 disclosure spray to detect G- and V-series nerve agents<-- Yikes that's nasty stuff

I wonder if I could get a hold of a can of this " disclosure spray " it would sure help in investing!

  4. I tried speaking into the machine Van and the words did not come up. I hate this feature. My wife is driving me absolutely crazy with the " quote " button as you call it. She quotes into her phone messing up all the words and then the phone types it.She doesn't use her fingers anymore. And people look so ridiculous and sound so annoying when they speak something very stupid and irrelevant into the phone. My wife will grab the phone and give a long winded answer as to why such and such delivery went to the wrong address and can someone get such and such and bring it to who and who and then they can... All the while I'm gripping my steak knife... It makes me crazy!!!!

I have been here for a while. Really when this site gets a little boring I usually show up.

Man I'm angry today folks. We talked about that Axa or whatever they are called the old Taser stock and then I told you all about Digital Ally DGLY but somehow didn't pay atention as that ripped yesterday.

DraftKings-- gave it yesterday out as a recommendation did I buy it? No. Up $2.90.

Everything I did or did not do yesterday was wrong. Why? Because I am so distracted by my
new situation here at the house. I put a crazy dye into the septic tank... You know this house usually gets 4-5 days off and then we come up for the weekend and then in the summer it just has to deal with two months of constant use. I've been here since March!!!!

So that freakin' dye came out on the other end... now I have a situation to deal with again...

There are not a lot of stories out there today) ) )

Beacon Roofing upgraded to Buy from Neutral at Northcoast 06:48 BECN Northcoast analyst Kevin Hocevar upgraded Beacon Roofing to Buy from Neutral with a $34 price target.

CYTK... what a blatant rip this stock is... I hope you have been following along this week with the mysterious upgrade on upcoming catalysts or announcements then a string of press releases followed by on Friday... Ta Da a secondary. This is why I can hate Biotech. Sleazy as heck.

Check this out I'm so mad.)

I see growing revenue and growing earnings.
I see a stock down Specialty Chemicals

    Description
Ingevity Corporation manufactures and sells specialty chemicals and activated carbon materials in North America, Europe, the Asia-Pacific, and internationally. The company operates through two segments, Performance Materials and Performance Chemicals. The Performance Materials segment engineers, manufactures, and sells hardwood-based and chemically activated carbon products primarily for use in gasoline vapor emission control systems in cars, trucks, motorcycles, and boats. This segment also produces other activated carbon products for use in various applications, including food, water, beverage, and chemical purification. The Performance Chemicals segment develops, manufactures, and sells a range of specialty chemicals derived from co-products of the kraft pulping process and caprolactone monomers. This segment's products are used in various applications comprising pavement preservation, pavement adhesion promotion, and warm mix paving; oil well service additives, oil production, and downstream application chemicals; printing inks, adhesives, agrochemicals, lubricants, and industrial intermediates; and coatings, resins, elastomers, and bio-plastics. Ingevity Corporation was incorporated in 2015 and is headquartered in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Ok Sounds a little bad for the environment, you may ask How is any of this an Idea For Now---

Ingevity Corporation (NYSE:NGVT) today announced that a study conducted by consulting firm ERM, London, U.K., has determined that the use of Ingevity’s Evotherm® M1 warm mix asphalt additive offsets the volume of greenhouse gases (GHG) generated in its manufacture by a factor range of 18 to 23. Factors contributing to this determination were the replacement of lime, a corrosive material that contributes heavily to GHG generation, with Evotherm M1 in the production of traditional asphalt mixes, and the reduction of production temperatures required for asphalt paving using a warm mix asphalt as opposed to a traditional hot mix.
Ingevity is the technology leader for pine chemical-based specialty additives to the asphalt and pavement industry, and a pioneer in the rapidly expanding warm mix asphalt segment. The company’s world-leading Evotherm warm mix technology allows production temperatures to be lowered by up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit and replaces lime in the asphalt mix, thus improving the safety of the mixing process.

So if I'm graduating now I might look into this warm mix asphalt and use of lime to make pavement and roads the idea we were kicking around for the infrastructure play...

    So Vulcan pared with NGVT.....

  7. Ingevity warns--sees Q2 revenue down 25%-30% vs. last year, conesnsus $325.64M

Then in June Ingevity announces cost cuts, temporary furlough of some production staff 06/02 NGVT Ingevityannounced a cost-reduction initiative to realign its cost structure in response to reduced demand for some of its products as a result of the coronavirus. The company stated that the cost reductions should enable it to remain within the revised guidance range it set forth in its Q1 earnings release. Ingevity stated on April 29, 2020,

In order to make the lowered number they had to cut folks... All of that sounds bad and the stock is $57.Stock was trading at $44 when this 1st warning came on April 29.

Stocks that go up on bad news are usually good.

GrowGeneration Corp. (NASDAQ: GRWG) was started with an Outperform rating and a $15 target price at Oppenheimer. Shares closed up over 3% at $6.83 on Monday, with an $8.50 consensus target price and a 52-week trading range of $2.62 to $7.82.

    ____________________________________

    Couple things here Stoney....

    1) Oppenheimer was the lead underwriter in that last offering

    2) "We have granted the underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional 5,250,000 of shares of common stock from us at the public offering price less the underwriting discounts and commissions, and on the same terms and conditions as set forth above, for 30 days after the date of this prospectus."

    3) So they have till July 23rd to act.

4)"We have granted the underwriters an option to purchase additional shares for the purpose of covering over-allotments. This option, which is exercisable for up to 30 days after the date of this prospectus, permits the underwriters to purchase a maximum of additional shares of common stock from us. If the underwriters exercise all or part of this option, they will purchase shares of common stock covered by the option at the public offering price that appears on the cover page of this prospectus"

    5) That price is $7.10 (the date of the filing)

    6) I think... not 100% sure... but they might have a 90 day lockup from June 23rd if they do buy those 5MM shares. So September 23rd.

    7) It looks like that one operation (Gotham Green Fund) has finally sold all or most of their shares. That's good, it was holding the price below $7. Now keep an eye on Merridia Capital, they own like 12%. They might be holding though.

It'll be interesting to see if Oppenheimer buys these shares. Watch for a 13-g filing. If they do, expect the big pump. I'd take $8 if you can get it, unless the volume picks up and the momentum players jump in on press releases. Lots of insider options can be exercised in late October. You can bet they'll sell them.

So far you're ok on this one.
