I quit for now. Take long walks. I think we are close to the end of this. Be a bitch to be one of the last to die from COVID.
I have a little corner of a pillates studio where they allow me to work out on a universal machine with a trainer. And last time I had my mask down to catch my breath and this Japanese girl gave me a dirty look and then I did it again and they told on me and the head lady came in and lectured me and I felt embarrassed. Ruined the work out. They were across the room entirely ... but then I just heard something about 20 feet... It sucks. Ditch the gym. It really is too dangerous. We are on the 1 yard line and to catch it now would be the biggest bummer. And it is spreading wildfire now... We have to all lay low until April/ May & then figure out how to get a shot and where and which one.

Hikers discover bear eating man at Great Smoky Mountains campsite By Hannah Sparks September 14, 2020 | 10:18am | Updated Enlarge Image California man tackles, punches 350-pound bear to save his dog Watch growling ‘Monster Wolf’ robot scare off bear in Japan A group of hikers in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park ended their trek in horror after discovering a bear dining on human remains. While walking the North Carolina arm of the Hazel Creek Trail, just a few miles from the Tennessee border, the group passed what appeared to be a deserted campsite, where they encountered a scattering of body parts. Nearby, a bear was spotted “scavenging the area,” according to a park press release. Park rangers received a call just after 7 p.m. Friday, as soon as the hikers returned to an area with cellular coverage. “Staff arrived at campsite 82 shortly after midnight and confirmed the report of a deceased adult human male,” park officials said, the Charlotte Observer reported Saturday. Rescuers also saw a bear, presumably the same one spotted by hikers hours before, “actively scavenging on the remains.” They then euthanized the creature, although the cause of death cannot firmly be traced back to the bear at this time. Local authorities have identified the victim as Patrick Madura, 43, of Elgin, Illinois, WVLT reported. see also Brazen bear sits down at picnic table as unfazed family shares a snack A portion of Hazel Creek Trail, between the Cold Springs Gap Trail and Welch Ridge Trail forks, will remain closed until further notice as investigators continue their work on site. Backcountry Campsite 82, where the victim was found, is also closed. The Great Smoky Mountains website warns parkgoers to avoid coming within 50 feet of black bears, which are native to the region. If one is spotted “running toward you, making loud noises, or swatting the ground . . . Don’t run, but slowly back away, watching the bear,” the site reads. “Increase the distance between you and the bear. The bear will probably do the same.”
Howling ‘Monster Wolf’ robots installed in Japan to scare away bears By Natalie O'Neill November 6, 2020 | 2:12pm | Updated Enlarge Image A "Super Monster Wolf" robot stands in a rice field Kisarazu, Japan, in 2017. Toru Their bark is worse than their byte. Dozens of red-eyed “Monster Wolf” robots were set up in Japanese towns to scare off bears and deer that were overrunning local homes or destroying crops. One of the creepy canine contraptions — which roar and have fangs — was erected in September by the small city of Takikawa to “avoid friction between residents and bears,” according to the local news site The Mainichi. At least 62 more of the 3-foot-tall by 4-foot-long robo-beasts are being used to frighten away deer and wild boar that destroy crops in the Hokkaido and Okinawa areas, the outlet reported. Designed by the machine-making company Ohta Seiki, the robot is programmed to shake its head and howl when it senses motion by animal intruders. It’s equipped with infrared sensors and can detect when a human is near.
