Earlier today Stoney you said the Robinhood folks were reading this thread....

Well I'm feeling especially benevolent so I'm gonna elaborate on the above quote, if for no other reason than the fact I know some kid out there, the one out of 1000, will read this and it will stick.
And he'll remember it for the rest of his/her life.

Do you remember when you found GrowGen and it was $5... ?

OK lets be honest Stoney, you throw out at least 1/2 dozen ideas in a day.
    AT LEAST.

Now... why out of dozens and dozens of stocks you throw out here in a week did I latch on to GrowGen?

    Remember?

It was the pedigree (of experience and brains) behind the whole show.

    I dug remember?

Let me find one of my first quotes....

    Because why?

Because Eddie Lampert had his hands in it.

You Robinhooders can go to wiki and look up the name.

    I even wrote this ....

Like him or not, Eddie Lampert knows the game. I knew right away this stock was going places. Not for its value, but for the people behind it. Near term.

Now... Lemonade (above)... that's Michael Eisenburg. Pffff.
Stoney you mentioned "pro's" here at ET. Laughable. They might think they are, but that's just because they're just smart enough to be dumb enough to not know any better. No comparison. Cats like Eisenburger.... they're the real pro's.

Here's another good example... and DISH is in fact a turd.... but it doubled since I wrote this.

    https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/dish-network-dish.343445/

    Why?
    One reason... Charlie Ergen.
It's not the company, its the man.

So write this one down young Robinhooders.... write it in blood.... always always always... bet on the man. The company is important, but when given a choice... always bet on the man.

Of course maybe you Millennial's have known this all along...
    You really have...
    ...you just didn't realize it.
Like Dorthy and her Ruby slippers.

    Where'd Tsla close today?
    I mean Elon.

Yeah but I have Peter Theil, Bill Gates, and one of the best (imo) car-makers in the world.
    Volvo. Oh... and Mercedes.

Your $98M revenue is Theil's couch change, especially after this week.

The lower LAZR goes, the more one should buy.
Do it for granny Stoney.

  3. It was only days ago that Uber (NYSE:UBER) agreed to sell its flying taxi unit to Joby Aviation, and now the Northern California startup may be getting a boost from the U.S. military.
    • The Air Force has issued a first-of-its-kind safety endorsement to Joby's electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, laying the groundwork for eventual civilian certification of the technology and even approval of autonomous flights crossing American cities.
    • "This is an exciting announcement because it means you are literally seeing a new market emerge," said Will Roper, head of Air Force acquisitions. "Not just for military missions, but for all missions, including commercial ones. We are excited to see what's to come for Joby and other companies pushing the boundaries of electric vertical takeoff and landing or flying cars."
    • According to Morgan Stanley, the autonomous urban aircraft market may be worth $1.5T by 2040.
Look for Joby's IPO next year!!!

VaN your boy Kramer said sell sell sell LAZR last night !after taking credit fro the rise-- he is such a punk! takes a broad view of a sector and says buy 5 then says we were there early when the obvious sector goes up. Kramer's sudden love of batteries? Yea right. That dude is just watching Robin Hood. He is in danger of being irrelevant,. Wonder what the button is for that....

Hey Buy Solar. That's from stoney.

  5. A foul smell of rotten eggs came out of me this morning. My indicators are different than everyone else's.

Here we are on Page 300. They said it could not be done. Or It should not be done. i couldn't quite hear. What I do know is yesterday should of been my grand finally-- I gave out the NUMBER ONE gainer on the Nasdaq and that's all I've wanted to do... but I didn't play it right and I am grumpy.

The mood changes. When the market changes.

  6. The Stock Of The Day is Azek. Free Ball edition.... nothing is coming to mind today so I sat back and thought what do I have to do to my house in Ct.. Decks. Two of them. One is real bad.

For that upper one I want that composote material this time I think the lower one will have to be upscale teak. But for the upper I want that fake stuff and for that I don't want to use Trex because they are too popular and may source from China I don't know..But i want to go with that no 2 supplier of material for decks and such and that is this company called Azek. We profiled them here once before!

Ok the problem--> a lockup expires in December,<--- VAN Can U figure out of this has happened already!~soney

  7. Riffing off the millenial trade on lemonade--

While Trex is the top brand, the real competitor for both companies is wood. “There’s a lot of momentum in this space right now, and distribution can’t get the [decking] product, which is going to set up opportunities for pricing and restocking and a very good outlook,” says Stifel’s Stanley Elliott, who has a price target of $42 on the stock.

Vaccine or not, Singh believes that “the move toward potential suburbanization” will continue as work-from-home persists. Housing stock is aging. “Half the decks out there are beyond their useful life,” Singh says. Meanwhile, millennials with children are moving to the suburbs. “This is an industrial company that has the capacity to grow at double digits for a long period with secular tailwinds and margin expansion,” he says.

Ok.. Traditionally Azek did mostly shingles and in that business they have a great edge-- they recycle!

Azek is also a sustainability play. Its major raw material is recycled products, much of which is scrap that Azek gets from customers. In 2019, it recycled 300 million pounds of waste that otherwise would have ended up in a landfill. Much of that is from its trim and shingles business, where waste is recycled as raw materials for decking.
